Gary US Bonds- Quarter to Three
Beck - Que Onda Guero from one of the greatest albums of the decade. If you haven't listened to the whole thing through, do yourself a favor.
This past weekend, I won a Swiss style sealed tournament (7 players) at a new venue in my area. By winning the tournament, not only did I get the f4100 Mole Man LE and Aunt Petunia's House / Latverian Village double sided map, but, I earned the number 1 pick in a snake draft for the Unlimited Class Wrestling Federation, which will be an on going Heroclix League.
The draft cube contains modern age versions of the following figures...
The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Triple H, Ric Flair, AJ Styles, Sasha Banks, Ronda Rousey, John Cena, Macho Man Randy Savage, Shawn Michaels, Finn Balor, Trish Stratus, Ausuka, Undertaker, Kane, Andre the Giant, Roman Reigns, Eddie Guerrero, Big Show, Mankind, Charlotte Flair, The Thing, She-Thing, Spider-Man, Deadpool, Thundra, Hulk, Superman, Bane, Killer Croc, Beast and Songbird
After we draft figures, we will construct 300-point modern age teams for a Swiss style tournament using figures that we drafted, any modern age special or standard objects (from our own collection), any modern age Special Terrain (from our own collection), or map location bonuses (from our own collection).
Whoever wins the tournament will be crowned the inaugural UCWF Undisputed Heavyweight Champion. 2nd place will be awarded the Intercontinental Championship. 3rd Place will become the Television Champion. The league will continue until the heavyweight champion defends the title 3 consecutive times. We are using a Heroclix Supremacy League Bull's Eye board, from back in the day. Should be interesting, Grand Prize is a brick.

That all sounds very cool. From those figures listed in the draft, who are you hoping to get?
Jumping on the songs before it gets out of hand again.
Praying Mantis - Don Dixon
Very much has a 1980s sound. His bass has some cool stickers.
Questions 67 and 68 - Chicago
It's kinda funny to me how I find out about some bands. For example, with ZZ Top it was Sharp Dressed Man. I love the Eliminator album. One of my favorites back then, and I played it over and over. Years later I started listening to their older stuff, and found out I liked it more. With Chicago, it was Stay The Night. I thought they were just some pop band. Then I find out they have all of these great, classic old songs. Another one was Jefferson Starship.
Queen of the Reich - Queensryche
I bought this EP and then proclaimed them as my favorite band. I'm still a pretty big fan. But oh my gosh that video is cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesy!
Quarter To Three - Gary U.S. Bonds
Very Chubby Checkers sounding.
Que onda Guero - Beck
Beck is just a super creative dude.
Queen of the Night - Whitney Houston
An American tragedy.
Quilombo - Soulfly
Not a bad I ever really got into.
System of a Down - Question!
Another band that said, "We're not adapting to what you expect, you have to adapt to what we create.", and succeeded.
Quiet Storm - Smokey Robinson, John Legend
When smokey started singing, I swear I heard violins. Also, I didn't know Smokey was still alive.
Queen of Hearts - Gregg Allman
I never got the appeal of this dude. I think of him as the Kid Rock of his time. How did this dude marry Cher?
I am responding to you. So after emailing a trade partner on his stuff arriving, I popped back here. Suitably disappointing. Now I have to go pee in the corner.
I.Am.Bored.
Could do some school prep...could update my trade page. Or I could do nothing of substance right here. Pretty obvious what I chose
Aww man I gotcha on this. I am taking a break from school prep. If I can finish this lesson then I am 1 day ahead. If I can stay 1 day ahead by the weekend and then prep over the weekend then I have a good 2-4 day cushion just in case I want to do something at night besides school prep.
Distance learning sucks as far as prep work goes because everything I am doing is being remade now for our zoom classrooms. If we were in school then I wouldn't have to make a darn thing because it was made last year.
On a plus note I am discovering these heavy blues bands of the late 60's early 70's. So many of them sound good and worth listening to but they have really silly band names; Dogfeet, Gun, Toad, Farm, Road, Frumpy...
