TBB if meta is your bread and butter, how have I been pinging you.
My only real activity was with Quebbster, and my claim was confirmed. Either I'm the cop or I'm mafia. Cult recruit doesn't fit. If you think I'm in the mafia or in the cult man up and vote for me.
Otherwise, find another tree to bark up.

You've been saying you buy claims that I don't. And you've been throwing suspicion at other people in the middle of inquiries of others. Just felt altogether too forceful and sure of yourself. I don't think you are mafia, but please, tell me why you don't think I should entertain the possibility that you were recruited?
Sounds about right. I'm leery of too many people at the moment.
And I agree that Nifty is likely cult at this point. That is less behavioral than it is analytical. A cop is a great pick-up for the cult, as is a relatively new player.
I don't have avatars turned on, so I'm not sure what kontrol's avatar is.

Well, that is alarming. Did he say he changed his avatar to his character?
In a game of monster hunters, he is declaring himself to be a monster. Not sure if I like that.
Could be a reference to Spider-man, or possibly Black Widow. Kontrol is on the few who hasn't been worrying me much. He's either town, or skilled cult.

Pur-leeze.
Kontrol has been just as, possibly even more belligerent then CaptainNifty.
At this point, I'm certain you, gfish, and Kontrol are the cult.

Chapter Two: Day Four The Dark Covenant
____ Cypress held his fingers to his temple as the two of them walked through the dark forest. He felt like someone was banging a drum right in his ear canal, and every beat was painful.
____ "I don't recognize this area," he said groggily.
____ The trees around them became sparse. Those still there were gnarly and deformed. They had twisting, curving branches and warped stumps. Cypress only saw glimpses of them, between his throbs of pain and flashes of vision.
____ Thrush slowed down as they reached a huge blood-red tree, separated by the others. It was so tall that Cypress couldn't see its branches at the top, and it was so wide that it probably stretched past the length of his arms.
____ "This is it," said Thrush.
____ "I don't trust this place."
____ "Nonsense. Now come on."
____ The boy with the tree-branch antlers approached the blood-red tree and whispered something under his breath. A creak echoed back. The bark on the tree slowly peeled away, and its center split in half.
____ "It's hollow."
____ Only the shell of the tree remained. Inside there was nothing, except for a hole at its bottom.
____ "Come on, not much longer," said Thrush. He led Cypress into the hollow blood-tree and down the dark hole.
____ ...
____ Some time passed. Cypress didn't know how long. He remembered dreaming about a woman he once knew with eyes of flame. But that was a long time ago.
____ It occurred to him that he was tied to a chair. The light was dim and barely illuminated by a swinging bulb overhead.
____ Oh shlt, this isn't going to be good.
____ At least his head had calmed down.
____ "Ah, you're awake," said Thrush. He entered from an old wooden door. Cypress couldn't see it, but he'd heard the creak.
____ "Thrush, untie me. Hurry, before whoever did this comes back."
____ "Sorry pal, we need you there for the moment. Just relax."
____ He heard voices beyond the door.
____ "Is this him?"
____ "Yeah."
____ "Good. Bring out the doctor."
____ Footsteps faded away.
____ "Thrush," he whispered. "Let me go."
____ "This is only going to take a few minutes. Then it will be all over."
____ There was a shout, and a slam. More chatter that he couldn't identify.
____ The restraints on his wrists had started to hurt.
____ The wooden door creaked again, but this time there was more than one person.
____ "Stop! No!" Someone shouted. Cypress could only see dark shades upon dark shades.
____ Suddenly, something was thrown at his feet.
____ "Doc?" It was the doctor that had brought him to the island.
____ "Cypress!" Shouted the doctor. "Oh god! They're going to torture us! We must make haste!"
____ "Sit down!" Someone shouted, and punched the doctor to the floor. He crumpled easily.
____ "I want to have a little chat," said a male voice from the darkness. It had an English accent. "Please answer truthfully."
____ Cypress nodded.
____ "Do you recognize this man?"
____ "Yes." He thought about ignoring the question. Holding out for help. Resisting. But in his tired and groggy state he just wanted to get whatever was happening over with. No matter the outcome.
____ "What is your relationship with this man?"
____ "He asked me for my assistance. He told me he had seen me on TV and thought that I could help him. He told me that an ancient demon had been unleashed and the only way to take it down was to assemble a small strike team and go in."
____ "I see. Where is your team now?"
____ Cypress paused. "I have no team. It was just the two of us."
____ No one said anything.
____ "Bullocks," said the voice. "Please answer truthfully. Trust is very important here."
____ "Trust?" He echoed. "Okay, lets talk about trust. Lets talk about the fact that I'm chained to a damn chair, in what I can only assume is a torture chamber. And you want to talk about trust."
____ "Cypress," said the voice. "We don't need names or locations. Do you know the whereabouts of your team?"
____ "No." He said stoically.
____ "Do you recall what happened last night?"
____ "No. I just feel hungover."
____ "Yeah. Side effects from the poison, no doubt."
____ Poison...
____ "Now Cypress, I'm going to ask you one more question. Just one more, alright? I need you to answer as best as you can."
____ "Go ahead."
____ "Have you seen Baal-Berith?"
____ Cypress raised an eyebrow, but said nothing.
____ "Have you seen that pus-sac demon?"
____ "Uh. No."
____ The voice sighed. "Then you are one lucky little prick."
____ Multiple voices started to whisper. The door creaked. The doc moaned on the floor as he started to come to again.
____ Cypress felt confused and impatient. "If you're going to kill me, then just do it already."
____ The voices stopped.
____ "We're not going to kill you," said the same voice as before. "But that bastard would've." A finger pointed to the doc.
____ "He's the chap that poisoned your camp last night and separated all your mates."
____ "He's lying!" Shouted the doctor. "Foul fiend, by Pendragon's Fire I-"
____ "Shut up!" Shouted a different, gruffer voice. Another punch and the doc was back on the floor. "And stay down!"
____ "He's the reason we're in this mess to begin with," said the English voice. "He loosened the binds on the creature when we tried to slay it. He worships the bloody thing and used us to unleash it. I've no doubt he lured you and your mates here to feed the creature."
____ "I'm starting to develop severe trust issues here with people screwing me over all the time. Untie me so I can look for my mutants."
____ "You're in no state to do that. Some who have drank the Agamotto Poison have developed side effects and hurt themselves. You're tied up for your own good."
____ "For how long?"
____ "Just a few more hours, mate. Don't worry, we'll keep you company."
____ "I don't even know who you are."
____ "Oh. Mind my manners." There was a pause, and something metallic clicked and clanged.
____ The lights came on dimly at first, then the overheads kicked in and the room was illuminated.
____ A man with pale skin and a trenchcoat stood a few feet away. Beyond him was Thrush and a few others.
____ He was in a cave with reinforced wooden walls. There were some couches strewn about, a dusty bookcase to the left, and an old wooden door to the right. He couldn't see what else might be behind him.
____ "Welcome to The Dark Covenant. You want a smoke?"
____ Deadhawk and Psynox stalked through the forest, killing off any monsters that drew in too close.
____ "This is boring," said Psynox.
____ "Then stop following me!"
____ "Nah. Tell me more about who you're lookin' for."
____ "I don't know exactly. I don't even know if he's here."
____ "You said his name was Inferno, right?"
____ He nodded. "Yeah, his name was mentioned on that crumpled note I found."
____ "Doesn't mean anything. We once found'a piece of paper with the word Orbit on it."
____ "That was gum."
____ "We know it was dumb, but we still found it!"
____ "No I - nevermind."
____ They passed through the edge of the forest. There was a cliff face to their left that led upwards into a mountain. Psynox stared at it curiously.
____ "Ouuu whatcha think is up there?"
____ Deadhawk shrugged. "I'm more of an expert on the down below."
____ Under a few rocks, a broken piece of wood caught his attention. He bent down to take a look.
____ "What is it?"
____ "Looks like a hockey stick, and it's been burned."
____ "Coulda been lightning. Lightning from up there, oh maybe we found Olympus!"
____ "No. He was here, I know it."
____ Behind him, Psynox was miming a lightning bolt crashing down and striking the forest.
____ "Pow, boom! Ahh, noo not the lightning! Yeah the lightning! Ahhhh!"
____ Deadhawk glared at her. "Are you finished?"
____ "Not yet. Ahhhhhh! Okay."
____ "Lets keep moving."
~
____ Cypress had spent the last few hours drinking water and trying to sleep a bit. He didn't have any violent episodes. Once the headaches had completely disappeared, the man in the trenchcoat untied him.
____ "Name's Afterthought, and these are my friends." He introduced them in turn.
____ "Something tells me Thrush was my friend first."
____ "Ah, sorry about the ruse," said Thrush. "We needed a way to bring you here. But I'll give him back to you now. Had my eye on a cheerleader instead."
____ Something dark and dead removed itself from Thrush's body and disappeared into the shadows of the room.
____ Cypress caught Thrush's falling, limp body.
____ A few seconds later, the boy with the tree-branch antlers blinked and opened his eyes.
____ "I am Thrush..." the boy said hoarsely.
____ "Now you are."
____ "We need to split up for the night, cover more ground. Can you stay here and look after our old pal?" He gestured to the doc.
____ "Yeah." Said Cypress.
____ "Smashing. If he talks, kick 'em in the ribs. We'll let you know if we find Baal."
____ Afterthought and The Dark Covenant then left through another passage.
____ "I am Thrush."
____ "I know. But we have to trust them, at least for now."
~
____ The man with the mohawk sat on the small, grassy hill. He was thinking about the beauty of the world and the way the sun hit the water as it set in the distance. Quiet contemplation relaxed him and helped him forget what life really was.
____ He never expected that a flying, limbless dinosaur was coming up behind him.
____ "Rexinator cannot be stopped! Rexinator is going to get a promotion! Rexinator terrorize!"
____ The man spun around at the noise.
____ He dodged the first bite, but the second ripped into his shoulder.
____ Still, the man never screamed.
____ He fought on, clawing at his foe, but it only took one more bite to rip him right in half.
____ "Rexinator rules!" Said the limbless dinosaur as it flew away.
____ A tiny tiger-dragon waited for the limbless dinosaur to return. It saw the attack and it wanted to show its friend that it too could be tough. It shot a fireball at the limbless dragon, which narrowly missed.
____ "What! Do not shoot Rexinator!"
____ But the tiger-dragon didn't understand. It tried again to impress its friend.
____ "Ahh! Noo!"
____ The assault didn't stop until a mysterious portal appeared in front of the limbless dinosaur and pulled it through.
____ Now alone, the tiger-dragon felt sad and started to cry.
~
____ The tough man sat on the rock, roasting bugs with his flamethrower.
____ The red man strolled towards him with his fist ready and he punched the tough man in the back.
____ "You little shlt," said the tough man, stumbling forward. He aimed his flamethrower but another fist sent him reeling.
____ "What are you gonna do? I'm fireproof."
____ Another punch and the tough man was on his knees. He started to laugh.
____ "Is this what you like? Is this how you get your kicks?"
____ "You're sick." Another punch. Then another. And one final one from the red man's giant fist.
____ "I hate people who can't tell a joke," said the red man before walking away.
~
____ Somewhere a blonde girl rose from the dirt. She gripped her stake tightly.
____ "Ohh, this one's comfier."
~
"Four."
