We just beat it and now we are working on heroic mode

I already have the Red Goblin costume, so while I did some Heroic mode to help out, everyone who wanted to hit 600K has done so.

Goal: Ascend Polaris to 5*. I'm getting real tired of all the 450s in PVP.

Polaris is currently at 354 with 239 shards. So, assuming I don't pick up any covers, I need 11361 shards to max/min Ascend. Polaris seems to be one where max/min is acceptable.

3* Magneto is Ascended so i can't get anything that way. (I max champed him twice while champing Polaris and Juggernaut.)

Barring bonus shards, I would need 758 LL or CL tokens to do it. However, collecting 172 4* powers will score 900 shards, which knocks of 60 LL/CL. So 698.

I'm currently sitting on 765 LL and 16331 CP. With Ascension and recent generosity, I'm earning LL at a decent rate. (I haven't charted it.)

I'm thinking of "jumping on the train" just long enough to speed this up. Phylla (3/2/1/1000), Aunt May (2/1/0/808), Jubilee (1/1/1/280) and Spider-Girl (2/1/0/605) seem good enough to champ (as ISO allows), but that's secondary to chasing Polaris shards. I figure that when you add in Heroic/Mighty/PVP tokens, I can probably have this done by the time I get to Spider-Girl.

I think I love it when I see someone with Polaris in PVP. Even with MThor in the mix, I'll target her and knock her out no later than turn 3. Makes PVP an easy win.

Now, that said, I love love love my 5* Polaris and agree that max/min was worth it. But not for PVP -- I use her in PVE. I've got both my Groc4et and 4*Juggie ascended also (Juggie was max/max, Grocket was also min/max). Because that trip in PVE is a SHREDDER. Juggie is in the center and Polaris/Grocket are also now my primary team for the essential nodes, too. Less team changing, faster game play, I've been doing my final clears (end of the timeframe - 3 clears) in about 21 minutes. It's made T50 my default and T20 most of the time.

Now, if you decide to got for LT tokens, I think Spider-Girl may be of interest to the new meta, so you might want to use her store or wait for her to go into LT. But if you aren't in 5* land and you've got lots of 5*s that need covers, CLs are such a great bargain, you get 20% more shard rewards for it, too.

For the first time in a long long long time I got top 5 in PVP.

As far as ascending I have 4* Juggie maxed and working on a second one. Polaris and Rocket will stay 4*s for now but they are not maxed yet.

Boss event starts tomorrow and Ebony Maw is the puzzle quest prize.

Assuming my alliance completes Wave 8, this will be the first time that I'll have a 5* champed (Jubilee) before it hits the LT store.

I just reviewed my alliance and booted out 3 folks who haven't played in 2 months. Change of plans.

I had just max-champed 4* Polaris earlier this week.

Then the Fan Favorites store dropped. I use Shang-Chi and Beta Ray Bill a lot, just champed Omega Red, so if you throw in the boosted store it was finally time to really hit those CP.

I set a rule: Pull until I get five Shang-Chi covers, which will match my Mighty Thor.

120 pulls later...

I checked on Polaris. Sure enough, I pulled enough covers and shards (thanks to a lot of good bonuses) for exactly thirteen covers.

I now have my first Ascended 5*.

Juggernaut, you're next...

Agent Coulson is reportedly gets a big bump as a 5* so he's been my favorite since ascension. I have a 4* maxed so I'm moving my crop up, he's starting at 347 and after all cracking is done, he's moved up to 358. So in a month or so, he may make it to 370 and then I need to decide who's next. I already have Juggie and Polaris ascended, so I'm open to suggestions.

Final Analysis -
I got nearly 20% of my pulls back, and that feels very satisfying. I am SO Loaded up with tokens and CP, it makes me hope that the upcoming anniversary stores have stuff I want to grow in it. It seemed to take forever to get the 2 May Parkers I needed and by the time I did, Kaine was done and Hotpool was only 2 away. That means 4 weeks until I pull again, hoping I do not get much in the way of Kaine. ANd since my 5* Nova got the benefit of a maxed 4* Nova, he's starting at the equivalent of 6 covers, so there's even a possibility that next month sees me finish all 3 toons in the store.

Wow! Has it been that long since the last post.

The anniversary has been OK. I feel like the best vault is the STEEL vault. All my HP has been going to roster slots instead of pulls.
