Today is seriously one of those days where I think I'm done with being in IT. I have just lost the will to do this anymore. I need a new spark in my life, and this isn't it.

Try starting an underground to the death gladiator competition. I did that at a restaurant I worked at and it did wonders. Not for everyone involved, but it was really entertaining lol.

I think it might. The thing is, I don't hate ALL of it. I genuinely like doing some of this stuff. I'm comfortable in my dirty diaper, as they say. Yes it stinks, but it's mine. I can't wait to do more work with VMWare in the near future, and I'd love to get my hands on implementing Citrix correctly someday.

But...####...there is just so much damn bull#### I have to put up with. I can't even focus on that stuff anymore. I'm instead spending my time trying to explain to a systems manager why we aren't going to just throw #### into Citrix during production hours, and I'm fixing check scanners that I suggested replacements for THREE YEARS AGO. To top it off, I'm now told that I'm some incompetent ####wad for not having replaced our proxy solution with something in-house, despite the 50 pages of meeting minutes I have in my file drawer, saying: "Thawmus has suggested that we switch our proxy solution with something in-house. Management disagrees"

I am just so sick of the bull####. It's time for a change.

Not that I don't have an affinity for science, though. I just don't have the patience for measuring and exactness.


I'm trying to get my brother to do this. He needs to work for a lobby. He's got a journalism degree, and knows more about our government and its inner workings than you can imagine. He took some of my advice and finally got a job working for the Census department. Unfortunately, that only resulted in him getting his car wrecked by someone that was trying to escape him this last week.

Dude needs to take my advice the right way....

Well, it was always a childhood dream of mine, going around and finding middle-aged women who are in need of a little sugar, and then providing them that sugar. But I just don't think I'm attractive enough for it. Maybe you could give me some professional tips on what to do? I'm willing to learn from a master.





Actually, in all seriousness, I've toyed with the idea for the last year of going into Psychology, and possibly becoming a psychologist (I don't think I'd survive med school, so I'd skip Psychiatry). Because there's just a ton of really cool fields involved with that.

Back to comedy: I'd love to make a field of my own: Computer Psychology. I'd serve both users and technicians. Couldn't get your program to work? Come sit on the couch. I have got the itch so bad today, that I just spoke with my mother, and told her I'm heavily considering finally coming home.
