I was hoping for the Dark X-Men to go with Daken from WoS. But oh well.
Given it took 3+ years to get us First Class Angel, I can be patient.
Finally we agree on something. Although we are getting Mystique, and M&M Dark beast is still pretty awesome.

You know what? As a massive X-fan, I don't feel one bit guilty about having almost an entire set of X-men. Here's why:
X-related characters in:
Avengers: 0 (Technically Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, but they were more Avengers/Ultimates related)
Secret Invasion: 0 (Namor doesn't count)
Hammer of Thor: 0
Web of Spider-Man: A few, and they were good. This is how it should be.
So one of the biggest and most diverse rosters in comics has had a handful of figures in modern sets (not counting M&M, of course.) That's absurd. There should be a few X-related characters in every set, given their popularity and the sheer number of them.

Well, now fanbases see it as THEIR set, and won't want any DIRTY STINKIN MUTIES eating up slots in their Avengers sets. Vicious Cycle.
There should be an FF Family/Foe figure or 3 in every set.
There should be 5-8 X folks, and 5-8 Avengers Family characters in every set.
The rest can be anything. 20 on theme? 15 from various missing figured / obscure characters?
I can understand where you're coming from. You don't care much for Mutants and I really couldn't care less about Lanterns. This is NECA creating a balance.
Yeah, except if you didn't like Lanterns, you still got 40 non-Lantern figs from the base set (yup, 40: Easy Company, apes, Secret Six, Shadowpact, All-Star Squadron, Teen Titans, Trinity and their enemies, Isis/Osiris, Aquaman and pals/foes). If you don't like mutants, except for 6 Nextwave figs, you're up #### Creek...

well seeing closeups of the poster i see now that they are the digital pictures not pictures of the actual figs...kinda has me worried... and have you seen psylock?? what is up with that huge head of hers... hope its just the angle.
I hope this helps everyone prepare for the trash talking during games from this set. I have been re-watching the series in anticipation to drop some one liners during games.
Every time I hit a Cyclops I will say "Eat dirt Cyclops".
As a long time Marvel & X-Man fan ..... I'm glad people are happy. But they haven't done any of the mutants of old that I know and love.....Personally I just want the new "Wolvie".... DC have coverted me, DC75 got me to buy my first brick. This will get 2 or 3 singles.
With 8 different Super Booster configurations, I'm wondering if there will be other standard-sized single figures not included on the poster.
To correct some lingering misconceptions: They changed their minds after early ad copy was released. There will only be 6 different Super Boosters. Each Super Booster will contain 1 large figure. That's it. All the early plans of putting complete teams, or otherwise mixing up the contents of Super Boosters were scrapped in favor of simplicity. The revisions have all been collected in the first post of Suttkus' excellent thread.
