The more rare the figure, the more detail in sculpt and paint it gets. More complicated figures are usually rarer. Rarer figs are also more likely to have clear plastic, as poor Firestar found out last set. : - )

....But why wasn't Groot See through : P
Then again X-ray was fairly translucent...

No but as detailed a sculpt as that makes it I would guess so. There have been exceptions (like Molly and her ducks) It sthe same I assume we will get a leader in every rarirty
Saint Walker is a R (confirmed
Atroc probaly a U, Indigo a C and Larfleeze as a SR

As has already been pointed out, it is extremely comic accurate to make him super-rare, in a meta kind of way.
see now that's what I said about the promo Rings.
I said "When they do the Orange one the should have had only made one to sell to the public made of metal and with a battery. It'd be sold in an auction"
But to be completely thematic: He'd be a chase

With all the confirmed figures we know, and what we've seen of their dials, I'm really, really on board with this set. I'm just hoping against hope that one of the pieces we haven't heard about yet is a Thom Kallor Starman.

When it comes to Superman and Batman, Grant Morrison is nothing but a 50's cover band in a 70's psychedelic funk style.
Maybe Maxwell Lord will have the RFG keyword. I suppose it's not entirely appropriate.
Boneyard has a great list, but I hope to see some generics - I'd love some new Kobra figures.
coming soon : nu52 Hercules

And I'm still wondering why Dr. Sivana is on the list. Boneyard, please, I'm really curious. Why do you think we need a new Dr. Sivana?

You really think so? He's always done quite well for me. If anything, he's a bit BETTER than what he should be based on the comics. I love that Dr. Sivana piece.
With all the DC pieces out there that actually NEED a remake (Hawk, Dove, Catwoman, Kilowog, Conner Superboy, Weather Wizard, James Jesse Trickster, Pied Piper, Alan Scott GL, Dr. Fate, Guy Gardner GL, Pre-SC Scarecrow, Cyborg Superman, etc.), I'm really hoping that Dr. Sivana is NOT on this list. He was made in the age of SPs, and IMO he holds up pretty well in today's game with the right build.
CarlosMucha: that is like be running in a Olimpic race competition just one step to get the gold and then a Giant children place a mirror in your side and you discover what you are really a hamster over a whell and the gold is just a slice of chess. Avatar Summoning: Original GotG, Melter, Whiplash
I kind of like the good Dr. The MSoE ATA is just ... evil.
That said, I wouldn't mind another one, but maybe inside giant killer robot armor. Maybe DC will get a GSX treatment?

We also need some proper DC Atlanteans, some Thanagarians, some new DC cops, and maybe some actual Mobsters (seems like that's all the Golden Age characters fought, mobsters and bank robbers, with the occasional mad scientist or foreign agents thrown in).

Okay, if he's in giant killer robot armor, I could accept a new Dr. S.
