If a character has both a carded and uncarded version, you can choose between the cheapest of those two. For example, you can draft the cheapest carded version of Big Barda or the cheapest uncarded version of her.
If a character only has one version (e.g., Brimstone), you start with the cheapest version.

Hi fellas! I have a question for next season if I may. If I select Apokolips would I have to draft or core the lowest point piece and then through the season upgrade to higher point pieces?
Example:
SMWW 019br Brutaal @ 100
SMWW g003p Brimstone @ 20 Can I start at a more playable 75pts
IO 043 Darkseid @ 141 Can 8 start at a higher point level?
UN 058 Big Barda @ 55 Can I start with 148 pt piece?
SM 056 Superman @ 162
Thank you,
Q
As Doombot said it is the cheapest carded or uncarded figure.
So for Barda you may start at the 55 pt or 148 pt version.
For Darkseid its 141 or 200
For Brimstone the 20 pt version is actually considered a Bystander and can't be drafted (but can be played if . . .) you actually have to draft the 75 pt version.

So with those colossals, would we be allowed to draft them at their smallest, non bystander level and then play them at that level?
So the P level is considered a bystander? That's something I didn't know, and can't fix now for FLE.

Oh not sure how many points I get I read earlier that new players were going to get the league average of this season. I was just listing pieces at the value with which I would start selecting them. And don't we have a draft every new season? I look to the veterans and await further instructions when this current playoffs are done.
I recently gave up my position as a Judge, which I had held since 2006. Today, I got to play. Not as a Judge who plays the one who gets the bye. Not as the Judge who builds a crappy team, so that I lose every single match. But as a player who could be as competitive as I wanted.
The build was bring 300, DC only, then buy 1 booster or 5 gravity feeds and make a 600 point team. I brought Power Girl, Huntress, and Red Tornado, with the hope of pulling 2 more Wonders from a SM&WW booster. Alas, all the SM&WW boosters were gone. So I got 5 Flash GF figures.
Amazingly enough, I pulled:
Max Mercury (didn't play him)
Flash 149pts - PD, HSS & Outwit
Rag Doll - Outwit
2 ARGUS Researchers - Outwit & PC
600 points, 7 figures (5 of which have outwit on clix 1)
Nice job, I probably would've done the same. Surprising that they didn't have any boosters left. Good job doing well with what you got, some good figs from the GF so chances were high it would work out for you!

3) ID Cards are usable by any characters with more points than them, and they allow me to summon a character from outside the game. They have the full stats of the character that is on the sideboard, they are removed from the game if they move further than 5 squares away from the character that summoned them, and they go away at the beginning of my next turn.
If a zombie managed to bring them on your force, then they stay there permanently.
It basically costs me two actions to summon one when I do, and I get their inspiration bonus to any adjacenet character. And they have to be summoned by a character that has no action tokens.
2) You send them to CaptainNifty.
1) I don't know total points, but I imagine it is 500 since nothing says otherwise.

X-Factor Investigations is shuttering it's business, and sending it's members out into the cold. I'll be drafting up something interesting and fun for next season. With the 50pt returning player cash-out, I'll have 1681RP to spend
