It's really interesting that there was no SKer in this game, and no standard Cop.
SK - I almost made the Trouble Alter the SK (I had written up two versions and the SK one killed by sending people into dangerous situations), but I decided to go with the note passer version instead mostly because it seemed more fun.
Standard cop - this was yet another trick I thought slightly favored the mafia. If you have a standard alignment cop, that's pretty powerful stuff for the town and definitely harmful for the mafia. If, however, they just get clues about roles (via pants, in this case), then it is always possible to misinterpret the clues (how many different suggestions were put forth for green pants?) and helps create an area of reasonable doubt for the mafia.
Hee, yes, us. I'm so sad I couldn't bust someone using Toyman's ID... It's why I kept him hidden for so long.
Dude the night we got the janitor we found out you were Toyman & CC. I was waiting for another janitoring so we could kill you and get 2 claims out of it, but of course the chance never came.

Gee look the town had abilities they didn't even need to use...

Yeah I think even the mod felt so bad for us, he figured he's put us out of our misery...

Glad you enjoyed it. I'm really glad the newer players are enjoying the game. Veguto and Jerry were very much involved behind the scenes. I was glad to have them in the mafia.

Get was right, my brain got in my way.
Even if we had a janitoring every other night, it could have made a big difference just because it would have made you all doubt your selves so much more, plus given us some safe claims.

Hey now you know how I feel after getting sandbagged as mafia in both your games.
Seriously though, I honestly enjoyed both games tremendously. Any balance issues are more than made up for by your participation and content. Besides you're learning and improving, I have been playing almost a year, and I wouldn't dare to even try to mod a game, so kudos.

Also, once I publish the player list, you'll notice that claim-wise the Mafia did have the deck sort of stacked against them (although there are several non-LOD villains that could have been used, like Darkseid), but they had some pretty potent abilities (2 couldn't be NK'd and the silence immunity to lynch really favored them) and the town had many built in points of failure in their abilities, so I thought it all balanced out. Frankly, if they could have pulled off a couple more NKs, this probably would have quickly shifted to a landslide victory for the mafia.
Well glad at least you can some of the balance issues. Heck, hind sight is 20/20. I don't know about a landslide. To be honest we got super lucky that between the towns info gatherers (dragger, tracker/RTer, and clue cop), we didn't get outed sooner.

We used him twice towards the end, and failed both times. I think that the first time it should have been ABUNDANTLY OBVIOUS to the mafia that Aquaman would fail. In a game with no SK, a second failed NK attempt is just disastrous.

Stupid Aquaman being so lame.
Sorry dude. Not my fault Normal didn't give me that Brightest Day figure Aquaman...

Mafia had no chance, normal.
I could not believe that a 3 person mason group also got solid powers on top of it. That was just brutal to me, but I suppose it was someone balanced with the 1 action thing.

If you add the fact that Aquaman could literally do nothing, Batman had a 33% chance to fail at info gathering, which became more and more useless as we figured out all the roles and powers, and Robin could actually make someone vig kill him, yeah, I guess the NKers were more dangerous to the town...

Except when Rokk starts saying "well Darkside isn't LoD like me, and then the 3 mason group tells themselves, hey, we're LoD, and before you know it, every townie is like, yeah man WTF, we're all town and LoD... That's when those other claims just go to crap like the Desaad claim went at the end.

As it was, it just pretty much painted a big ol' target on Jerry and then anyone that tried to defend him and/or not vote for him.

We were basically told we had a day kill that we could use and Jerry tried to use it. I honestly thought it was Normal throwing us a bone to give us a chance with a safe claim and a Daykill built into one. Clearly I was wrong. LOL!
Also, Jerry's inexperience hurt him a bit there. If he had just used the day kill without claiming to be neutral and how the power worked, he could have probably gotten away with the Natas claim quite easily.

While don't know if I'll do that right away (I honestly never watched much Thundercats, but I will certainly take it under advisment), if you have anything in particular you want to see done, please let me know.
Also, I've got a few weirder things I want to try, so I don't even know that the next mafia I run will even be a DVD Marathon mafia.
Either way, it will be while before I try again. Late Decemeber at the earliest... so plenty of time for me to think about it.
Sign me up. I'm a glutton for punishment...

No, but the LoD was everyone in the town. It would have been pretty obvious pretty quick, as soon as a non-LoD got lynched, that those claims were garbage.

The town did nothing to mess with the fact that Aquaman could (SECRETLY) not make a night kill. That is a mod deception issue. To me a moderator is supposed to be honest to everyone. Mod deception is my sole biggest pet peeve in these games. I know you told us over and over that Aquaman sucked, but that just wasn't enough IMO.

No I am glad I got Aquaman. He was one of my favorite Super friends when I was growing up as a kid in the early 80s, and he's one of my all time favorite JLAers. What I didn't like, was having my team make thoughtful solid efforts and failing on multiple nights, because of a "cute" hidden mechanic the Mod felt should be hidden from us. I know it's funny and I know it's just a game, but it sucks to put so much effort and be on the butt end of that joke.

Man you should have TOTALLY claimed Darkseid. Doesn't he have Large Grey pants?!!!

BTW grats to the winners. It sure was fun watching Betty & Darq go at each other and watching Rokk drill CharlesX.
You mean watching Darq unwittingly play for your team? The fact that he was doing so, though, probably kept him alive...so perhaps it was secretly brilliance on his part!
I personally enjoy having hidden aspects to roles.
As do I. That's one of the reasons I used so many in this game.
I didn't have a single one in Scooby-Doo (just getting my feet wet there and wanted to keep it relatively simple) and I wanted to test a variety in this game to get a better feel for "how much is too much" kinds of stuff.

In all fairness, the town did have a lot of hidden stuff too.

BTW - Thanks for this Silver. Nice to get some words of encouragement.
I think one of the things I found most hilarious was how worked up the town kept getting over the silencing and the inability to lynch said silenced characters...
