Just to put an end to this talk na lang, coming from retail myself, the problem here is three-fold, First, ads are expensive, period. So for a hobby such as ours, which is not a big community as compared to other gaming products, its not feasible to put ads, and the competition is small anyway and with access to internet, it would not make any sense to do ads as it would just ad to expense.

Second, although NG retains an exclusivity clause for wizkids product, 2rats for example has been a distributor of NECA for the longest time, so that was why nauna sila sa gravity feed ng GL, this was offered by NECA to normal retailers (like Target) first and not hobby shops, so nakakalusot talaga yon.

Third, their exclusivity is as distributor, not seller so in order for them to legally sue someone they have to go against an international distributor and that means paying for international lawyers and that is not monetarily feasible kasi again we are not as big as a community as magic, and instead of profitting their money would just go to legal fees.

Again, in the end, free market pa din kasi, you can wait for NG which is cheaper (like GL gravity feed) pero sometimes to be fair, they are early naman as well so sometimes circumstances lang talaga, or if you are rushing to have the stuff or looking for older sets then you go to other suppliers or even the internet. Monopoly naman is not a good thing because as a customer, in the end everybody wins if you have choices...

The only reason I posted what I posted is so that people will know na meron din namang iba. To be fair, I didn't even buy any of the gravity feeds before because mahal nga talaga, so in that respect buyer beware na lang. Although nobody will stop anyone from buying off the internet anyway so there is that as well, hopefully we can now go back to the regularly scheduled program and just talk about what matters, which is clix...

So hopefully this ends this talk right here and we can now go back to our regularly scheduled program...

Was GL as bad as Catwoman or Elektra?


I'm kind of jealous of the Superman set. As a mostly Marvel-only clix collector and comic reader, inggit ako sa power levels ng Superman clix. But any good set will do good for Heroclix as a whole, sana lahat ng future sets kasing ganda niyan.

Sayang yung Street Fighter clix, I don't think the Heroclix format/mechanics can capture the fighting game feel of Street Fighter and it's being proven by the kind of dials that we're seeing.

Yung street fighter clix kasi is kind of a come on for the people who are not into clix, although may mga malakas na clix like Akuma (which I want) so I'd still get it for collection

Well, to be fair, Marvel had Hammer of Thor which was chock full of powerful figs which is tama lang for a set themed to gods. Since this set has the \S/ as the centerpiece, it only makes sense the god-level pieces of DC come out to play (because in DC the dials go up to 11! ). Besides, the last few sets (Arkham, BATB, DC 75th) were all balanced sets where even the big dogs were mostly good, but not great.

SF, I'll hold off on judging, as I haven't seen the TA in action. I'm thinking it eats up a lot of points to have permanent move and attack (despite the short burst of 3 spaces). But I'll certainly be using those 1vs1 rules in some games. Round 1... FIGHT!

The "block" non-mechanic (plus 1 to defense? that's a block?) feels too lacking, no throws, no combos, super moves, counters. Flavor-wise, it doesn't feel anything like Street Fighter.

And yet I still want to get the figures, ganda ng sculpts eh. Kahit pang display lang. Or pang mabilisan na laro kahit saan. That's what I hated about Heroclix that I loved about VS - kung maglalaro ka, kelangan mo ng malaking table, hindi kagaya nung VS System mag order ka lang ng fries sa McDo pwede na kayong maglaro ng 1 or 2 games. But now, 1 on 1 rules, smaller maps, it's easy to get a quick Clix fix!

The only thing that I'm not liking with the new sets are these weird range values. Seriously you'll give Magog, the herald of Gog 5 range? What good will psyblast do with 8 range? It's just like the character from the Cap set that's supposed to be an excellent range combatant. They gave her 3 range. I mean seriously, 3 range?!?

I'm liking the figures of the set so far. I'm still hoping for a Nightwing (Lor Zod) and Flamebird (Thara Ak-var) for the set. It's a Kryptonian full set so here's hoping!

I have a bad feeling we'll see another Lois Lane in this set...if she'll be just like the one from origins, WE.ARE.SCREWED...

Hey I liked that Elektra movie.

Let me put it this way, you don't want Deadpool playing as Hal Jordan. It just doesn't work. They should have just stuck to Ryan Gosling (they were eyeing him for Hal at the start anyway.), anyone would've been better than Ryan Reynolds.

Catwoman...oh yeah, the one with Halle Berry. I didn't like that one. Found it weird...

Quite frankly, yes. WL Sinestro, for the points doesn't quite work as a one man army. Only the LIVE power makes him last but by himself, the soft middle clicks are easy to aim for. I've had more trouble with the SR Sinestro.

Blazam's Shazam half of the dial is good but not really meets all the hype (I killed it with two teenagers without any HSS) As for BA, you never see him get to use his HSS+exploit/CCE because of how easy it is to blow past those clicks.

So yeah, all the "powerhouses" from previous DC sets after Crisis just fell short of the mark. Metron, I don't count as he's more of a swiss army knife than a one-man army.

But looking at the previews? Even second string like Non and Magog look beastly for the points.

Oh yeah, it's been confirmed there is a Lois Lane in the set... All Star Lois Lane as Superwoman

Other than the range value, Magog's pretty powerful considering he's only an uncommon. Non and Ursa are just wrong. If any DC set deserves powerhouses I have to agree it's the Supes set.

black market is still black market, we buy our stuff kung saan nating gusto, you want to shell out mucho cash for black market stuff good for some madami silang pera, some people don't. My point is I am never buying from black market sellers for the main reason that products maybe tampered (sure ako sa 2rats tampered booster ang nandoon and I have eveidence of those) ika nga I would rather wait sa official distributor rather than take my chances elsewhere then get burned in the process. maybe you have no idea of NG's exclusivity but we do since we are long time customers and the owners convey to us the vital information regarding clix releases and products. There is also the facebook page wherein you can direct all your questions. The world revolves around money, kung apple products at mga mamahaling android phones nga nakakalusot sa black market paano pa kaya ang munting laruan heroclix. pinas to asa pa tyo sa batas hahaha

valid points except for one: 2rats WAS NEVER AN OFFICIAL NECA distributor.AS IN NEVER, it just looked that way since they where selling a ton of NECA stuff which are all factory rejects sa china. I have confirmed this information already.

my point exactly. we have the option to buy where we want, as long as we are willing to suffer the consequence. yep, i belong to the fb group as well. also, i'm a very long time NG customer, not just with heroclix but with tons of stuff. i know the owners as well. maybe i'll just ask them about this when i get to see them. tama si ninjato. na hi-jack na yung thread from it's topic. i apologize for that. what you say about 2rats, i really have to thank you for the heads up. it may or may not be true, but i'll take this as a cautionary tale for a newbie to the game. buti na lang sa NG, Comic odyssey and XP pa lang ako bumili ng clix. may tiwala na kasi ako sa kanila dati pa. at least now you made me think twice about buying from stores who just happen to put out clix (and other products na din).

about the ad thing, i was referring to maybe a word of the mouth ad lang. like maybe they should just tell people that these stuff are coming out. kasi last time, medyo doubtful pa din mga ibang tao na natanong ko kung magkaka GF ang NG. so pati buyers nila are in the dark about the stuff coming out. i'm in the retail biz din, so what we do is let people know if stuff are coming in, lalo na mga regular customers namin. it's inexpensive and effective.

anyway, at least i'm learning a lot about this aspect of HC from the boards. hehehe. thanks sa info and input nyong mga experts.
