Old Steve and Morgan keep Perplexing Doom's defense up, meaning you'll have to hit a 20( 21 at range) at least twice every time you swing at Doom. Cowboy Steve makes you do it with your printed attack (or less). Morgan brings an extra PC to the table AND keeps the whole thing themey for even MORE rerolls.
I have not! I gotta track it down so I can enjoy my two favorites engaged in some good old-fashioned Teeth Clenched Teamwork. (With Baron Impossible MIA, someone has to quote TV Tropes around here!)
I believe that it was in Super-Villain Team-Up volume one issues ten through twelve.
Climaxing with Doom battling the Skull to the death on the surface of the MOOOOOOON!
Ooo, yeah, I didn't consider that. Oh well, it wouldn't be a proper villainous scheme without a fatal flaw, right?
Instead of the Steve’s, I’d roll with Black leopard who does what you need from both Steve’s with his leadership, perplex, and limiting opposing stats from increasing, and still has Avengers kw. Add puppet master who ignores terrain for mc. That leaves 10 points for time gem on doc.

I already had Puppet Master on my want list, for Latveria keyword if nothing else. I now add Black Leopard. Fortunately, I DO have the Time Gem.
BTW, anyone know WHY Masters has Latveria keyword. Last time I saw Masters and Doom together in a comic (sometime in the 80s, I admit) they were trying to kill each other.

Perhaps they have formed a support network for figures subject to unwanted Team Ability changes?
