Since Moon Knight can't do anything next time Diablo will not break away, instead he attacks Huntress. Whoo hoo got a 8 (2 4s). This Diablo is a one man army which is giid since he's all I got.
Those corn husks were probably very wet, too. No story post. PC has been a real factor in this game.
Wanted to come up with a simple game to replace this. 500 points max. Maybe amalgamated or one from most teams with a twist, we pick for each other. Obviously we can't screw that up since it's the same number of points each. Maybe we could do that with one veto each or something...just a thougt
Picking for each other promises to be fun. Guaranteed to end up playing pieces you normally wouldn't. What say, each of us drafts 5 or 6 teams that we want to play. The other player builds the team using members of those teams (at least 1 figure from each team chosen). One veto is okay. I think the person playing the team should get to choose the replacement for the vetoed figure (guarantees they'll get at least 1 decent figure in the lot) but I'm not married to that idea.
Hang on. That's three moves in a row for Diablo. You moved him to N19 in post 102, then attacked with him last turn. Of course if you had realized that, I'm sure you would have had him flee instead of attack last turn.
Do you want to back up and redo that turn in post 106?
I hemmed and hawed about going back to post 106, since you offered especailly since I am enjoying this game and feel I could win. However it was my mistake so well leave it at that....
Great game.
As for the next game let's agree on the picking for each other idea. We seem good with that. Choosing 5-6 teams each could be daunting let's simplify and here are my suggestions how:
A) Agree on a theme. I pick all villians for you, all Dc whatever...we can further refine it by making it only one from any given team. Or even further.
B) A variation on your choosing 5-6 teams idea. We each pick choices from a category like two pieces over 150 points, three 100-150, 4 50-100, 5 up to 50. Something like that. The only thing I don't like about this is that it is like choosing a Christmas gift from a list of choices instead of from yourself. I admit that often works better but it can be less fun...You don't mind me giving you the Toad and the Leader, right?
The Alchemist could be a wreck when cornered. He was already a bit of a lose cannon. Moon Knight, in his white costume, glowed like the moon on this Salem night. His mastery of stealth could not hide him from the Alchemist.
Suddenly Moon Knight sank into the mud.
"You'll not be reaching me, killer," he snarled. I am not going down."
The mud became like quicksand and Moon knight wondered if he could die here in 17th century Massachusetts. Quickly the Huntress and Torquemada ran to his rescue. The Alchemist held them too.
"Do you fear my power now, villians?"
Wanda runs up towards him but the Alchemist stares at her. "Traitor!" he spits at her, "Pretending to aid us when you betrayed us all? You are no true witch."
"What I am...what we are, Moon Knight and I ...are Avengers...we are here to make a difference for the world ..our world..in 2004."
"Insanity! You expect me to believe in this?"
"No more insane than giving corn husks arms to hold one down," Wanda says.
But the Alchemist would have none of it, too distrusting of the treatment he has endured to let himself believe.
He lifts his arms and Moon Knight uses that moment to take a risk. He throws Clea's baubble at Diablo and it breaks upon him, scattering all over the group.
"What?" he cries out but quickly he understands..."You HAVE saved me" he chuckles and is gone.
The same effect happens to Torquemada and the Huntress, within moments they know their true selves and are brought back to their true place in the time stream.
"We did it, Wanda".
"That was you at the end there, Moon Knight."
Clea appears, "You both did it. And all is well, Morgan Le Fey's spell has been broken. Stephen, all the others are home back safe and sound. The spell I used to send you here will send you both back within minutes. You both have earned mine and Stephen's thanks."
Wanda reaches out to Clea's hand, "You're welcome, of course, Clea."
The sorceress disappears. The Avengers look into the Halloween night of 1692.
"You seem bothered, Wanda."
"Such repression...to think of the sagavery of this time period. Slavery. Puritanical murders for people who weren't even witches, just different or apart from society. Maybe it's my own witch heritage but I cannot wait to get back."
Moon Knight laughs, "Yes..to our enlightened time where mutants are harrassed, ethnic cleansing is rampant, gays lack the right to marry and share in their partners benefits and the barrier between the rich and poor grows ever wider. By all means, Wanda, let's celebrate how much we've achieved in 300 years."
Once again the October winds blow through Wanda's gypsy dress. And she feels a chill.

That second option seems a bit much. Let's go with the keep it simple idea. I'm good with a villains team if you want to play heroes. Honestly, I'd be okay with a heroes team too, if you're in a villainous mood.
And of course I don't mind if you give me Toad and the Leader. Getting to play figures like that is the whole point of games like these!! I'd be disappointed if you didn't!
OK option A narrows it down. Now we need to narrow it down further ex. DC vs Marvel, villians vs Heroes. My natural preference is Marvel heroes, yours is villians of DC I think. To mix it up here's a suggestion: you pick DC heroes for me, I pick Marvel villians for you. Call it's opponents choice" dc vs marvel or something lame like that. This could eventually give us other games to follow up since each of us could once be a Marvel/DC villian/hero.
Doesn't have to be this way and if you've another idea let's do it. I just figured we'll be at it forever if we don't decide on something soooooooooo.....500 points DC heroes that you pick for me, Marvel villians I choose for you.
I have to admit something I've noticed, I have less sucvess in games with only villians. I'll buy a comic for the heroes and obviously a good villian is necessary but I tend to not feel as passionate about the game then. Mixing heroes and villians is another story, though....
Reread the finale to the 1692 story. Unfortunately it was long-winded and some of the lines were written too fast where they could have sounded better (something I do often). Just wanted to admit that I wanted the chance to use Clea again. I love the character, she's one of my favorite supporting characters. Maybe after the 53rd Wolverine variation Heroclix will make her. Yeah, right, and maybe someday Adam Strange or Deadman too.
Since we're narrowing things down so much anyway (only DC Heroes against only Marvel villains), let's throw out any team maximums or quotas. We sometimes get too crazy on the details. (Okay, we need to pick three characters from each team, except where a character has an affiliation with more than one team in which case they can count toward both memberships, unless they're a wildcard, in which case...) After all, how can you stick me with both the Blob and the Toad if you can only use 1 Brotherhood character!?
If you think we should put some extra requirements or limitations on it, we can put our heads together and see what we can come up with. Otherwise, just pick me any 500 points worth of Marvelous scum and villainy, and I'll pick out 500 of Defending Champions. (Minimum of 490 points at least, I'd say).
