Dude, I agree with Melgimm. Most of the Spider-man fans I know (me included) hate Mary Jane and Aunt May. Mary Jane is just eye candy which works for a while but stops quickly. Aunt May is like 395 years old! She is even being drawn like that. They both need to die and Civil War is the perfect place for it.
Now do not think I want ALL Mary Jane's and Aunt May's to die because the Ultimate ones are actually written very well and are great supporting characters.
NONE of the Spiderman fans I know want Mary Jane to die. Having Aunt May die would bring some great story lines and character development, but if you kill both off, Spiderman will be the most alone, depressed super hero in history. Killing off Aunt May may be a good idea. Killing off Mary Jane is a bad idea.
Honestly, how many more people does Peter have to lose? Uncle Ben, Gwen Stacy, Harry Osborn, his parents (twice, kinda) and several other minor supporting characters have all died. If you take away both Aunt May and Mary Jane then it's just Peter by himself sulking. Not only would that get really depressing, it'd also be kinda pathetic.

My point exactly. And Spiderman isn't the type of character to be all alone and hate his life (like Punisher). After all, he is the "Friendly Neighborhood" Spiderman. He isn't the "Sulking All Alone" Spiderman.

He tried that once, just before the clone saga went into full gear. He even went to Matt Murdock, who was suppose to be dead at the time, and who kept telling Pete he wasn't Matt.
Pete went and cocooned himself and cut MJ out of his life for a wee-bit. Stuff happens.
From the whole Civil War ####, Spider-Man deserves to walk in on the Sinister Twelve having a (willing) group love making session with Aunt May, Mary Jane, and Gwen Stacy's ghost. Then, Captain America should come into the room and kill everyone except Spider-Man, then cut off Spider-Man's limbs.
thing is, they've taken two of my favorite characters (spidey and iron man) and put them on the side that i am against. but i know that spidey will switch sides. tony is getting out of control and will have to be taken down.
I still leaving myself open until I find out what is exactly happening with Thor. It is impossible to believe that Thor would not side with Cap. It's not even open for debate. Time and time again he has chosen Cap over anyone else. A choice between IM and Cap is a no-brainer. And throw Hercules in the mix and you get your result = Thor on Cap's team.
"That which does not kill us, makes us stronger..."
killing off one or both of mj and aunt may could be what sends peter to the other side of the issue. honestly, mj could go but you gotta keep aunt may, she's gotta be the last one of the entire marvel universe to die. they killed her once, then renigged, it sucked, so don't kill her ever again because it won't mean anything. it would give may and peter more in common if they both lost they're spouse. that would at least have some value.
Hmm...just checked out the Wiki on this whole Civil War thing...

The series centers around a newly enacted Super-human Registration Act, which, when passed into law, would require all persons in the United States with superhuman abilities who wish to use those abilities to fight crime to register with the federal government and receive proper training as law enforcement officials. Such persons would not only be subject to U.S. law (including the prohibition of minors from participating in such activities), but would, according to the law, reap the full benefits of civil servants, including pensions, and so forth.
Wait...what's so bad about this again? Isn't this how the "real" world works? (Law enforcement officers with public identities, vigilantism is illegal, etc.)
I haven't read much Civil War, so I'm not sure what the hot tamale is.

I remember that...though he actually seeked out Daredevil a little after the cocoon phase. I remember because after that he got scratched by one of the Owl's owls and got that disease that couldn't be cured. Ironically, that made him want to live and find a cure. Then even more ironically, it was Doc Ock who ended up curing him. And adding to the irony, Doc Ock ended up dieing himself!
Don't tell me all that irony stuff had nothing to do with Tony Stark. This goes deeper then any of us have suspected.

####ing prick.
I guess someone didn't read Amazing Spider-Man? It was Aunt May and Mary Jane who talked him into unmasking in front of anyone. It was a painful scene to read as everyone was out of character, but Peter was still going to run out in the morning, possibly to Canada (which would have been awesome). Then Aunt May had to go out there and do a little more to convince Peter ot to run out on his responsibility when it comes to putting his family in danger. So really, it's Aunt May and Mary Jane who should get their arms pulled off, leave poor Gwen Stacy alone.

The problem is when the super villians know who you are they can get at your family too. Its pretty widly believed that Spider-Mans enemies are, since they now know who he is, going to attack and kill MJ and/or Aunt May. The other issue (what got Captain America pissed off) was being told that he was goign to have to hunt down and arrest other heroes who didn't register and he had a probelm with the idea of bringing down someone like Daredevil whos out there doing a lot of good just because he doesn't want to endanger those around him.
Theres only one Return, and it ain't of the King, its of the Jedi.
