But Superman did that as an absolute last resort, knowing that one Kryptonian was no match for three. he knew there was no other options and vowed he'd never do it again.
Besides Thor has killed often in Asgardian wars as has Cap in WWII. Killing doesn't preclude worthiness as much as how you kill does. Sociopathic characters like Red Hulk and Superboy Prime could never qualify, but if the killings were in self defense or to protect helpless people, that wouldn't be a problem.
Considering Beta Ray Bill's inability to lift Stormbreaker these days, I'd guess genocide isn't something that makes one "worthy".
But still, maybe it's Superman's feelings of guilt for killing Zod and his cronies is what makes Supes "unworthy". That is, in his own sub-concious, he doesn't feel worthy.
On the flip-side of that, Dr Doom thought he was worthy, but he couldn't budge the hammer either.
As long as you didn't clock someone upside the head with it in the store, it's all good.
I'd feel real sorry for your half-brother if he happened to be standing next to you at the time.
So would I. But which one? I have 1 brother, 4 half-brothers and 2 step brothers. All of them could use a good clocking for one reason or another.

Dr. Doom has always had a warped perception of self.
So they turned Beta Ray Bill into a mass murderer eh? Another good character ruined by the Quesada garbage machine.
I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.

No.
MR_JTR speaks inaccurately. Beta Ray Bill never committed anything close to genocide...he did attempt to kill Galactus, and in the process committed an act for a noble end that was not so noble...and for a brief time found himself unable to lift Stormbringer.
By the end of the next issue he had made amends and carried the hammer once more.
"I love man for all the potential that he holds, and hate men for how seldom they live up to it"
I actually have the story but only skimmed it. That's why I thought I must have missed something.
I have ranted elsewhere about how they punk out Galactus too much. Too many stories showing him as helpless and inept. He gets defeated too easily and seems clueless when it happens to him.

I mean, seriously... You eat WORLDS for a living! What else would you expect when some dude that's smaller than a bugger in your nose hits you with something they call the 'Ultimate Nullifier'?
I'd be clueless too. Especially if my hunger wasn't nullified!

I didn't read the end of it. What I did read was that Beta Ray decided to kill Galactus by going to every planet Galactus was heading over to feed on and the plan was that Bill was going to destroy the worlds, thereby causing Galactus to starve to death.
