Don't forget when destroying walls, you only need to reach the front side instead of the backside of the wall.
Couple of questions though, Can some one give me the powers granted by the two giant abilities. I think its:
Giant Size - Allows punching :two squares out and different elevations, and everone ignores normal sized people for line of sight to and from.
Giant Stride - Can carry if no tokens, ignore figs for movment (except breakaway), and ignores terrain for movement (minus indoor walls and blocking terrain).
And finally the rule of thumb I hear is replace then modify. So that means you can be defended (or a similar TA like JSA), then tripple perplexed, ESD, feats/BF (Loner feat for example), hindering terrain, or a mix of any of the 5 to increase defense (max of +3 after defend powers). So say Jakeem can defend for 19 with hindering +1 and two perplexes +2 = 22 defense right. Man, suddenly Galactus's mighty stats aren't so impressive .
Hey when is wizkids gonna post the new Fantastic Forces rules on the their heroclix website? They have always been pretty good about updating the Rules/EnC/FAQ etc with each new set on the website. They still have all the older stuff up under the How To Play section.

JAS (and defenders, alt FF, Defend, ect.) either state (or have been erratad to say) that they share an unmodified defense. And you cannot modify that defense after it's shared via Perplex or ICWO because the Replacement DV is not received until the time of an attack, and you cannot activate those abilities mid action. Hindering terrain, ES/D and Combat Reflexes do kick in mid action though and will boost a borrowed defence value.
nice graphic tarnish!
I am so excited that pulse wave doesn't work when you are adjacent to an opponent. I have been nailed by the 86 pt phoenix so many times! now, all I need to do is walk a pog next to her. mwah haha!

Thanks for the clearification, I just assumed that the text "unmodified def" meant the owner's shared def (ie ESD or peplexed before defending). I would guess then if you have the loner feat or shealhead in use they couldn't be defended, right?

No, both those modifiers can be applied on top of the shared defense value. The general rule is "replace, then modify", which in this case would mean "Defend, then ES/D, CR, Shellhead...". This rule only applies when replacements and modiiers occur at the same time though - Perplex happens before the replacement, for instance.

Wait, but aren't feat type defenseses already modifing defense before you replace, its the same as perplex, therefore wouldn't it prevent defened?
So lets say you got two guys that are JSA (basicly the same as defend power), ESD, Shellhead, perplex, and hindering. A is the higher and B is the lower.
A may not use any of these effects to increse the of figure B, except JSAing his base .
B, however may get the JSA replacmet + ESD and hindering, but not Shellhead or perplex, right?

Not according to the official ruling. Shellhead is a continous modifier that kicks in any time and all the time the figure assigned the feat has two action tokens (and meets the prerequisites of course).

Correct. You share the value printed on the dial.

Not quite. ESD, the hindering terrain modifier and the Shellhead bonus are all applied after the replacement and can be used on top of the replacement value (but keep the rule of 3 in mind). Perplex cannot be used as it was applied before the attack was even made and is therefore overwritten by the replacement value.

Okay, let's break this down a little more clearly here.
Character A has the higher defense, Character B has the lower defense. For our purposes, let's say A has a 17 to replace B's 16.
If A has ESD, Shellhead, Perplex and Hindering all applied, he'd max out at a 20 defense (rule of 3), but in spite of all of that would only give a 17 to B.
Now, if B has ESD, the 17 would become a 19, because ESD would apply. If B had Shellhead (and 2 tokens) he would get the bonus. If he was in hindering terrain, he'd get the bonus. So pre-existing conditions will still modify the 17 defense that B is receiving, possibly bringing it up to a 20 (rule of 3).

When a modifier and a replacement are simultaneous (and only when they are simultaneous), the rule is to replace then modify.
JSA/Defenders triggers before the attack roll (i.e. after the action has been given to the attacker and the target has been chosen).
ES/D triggers before the attack roll, but after the action has been given to the attacker (same timing as JSA). So JSA and ES/D are simultaneous, and the target's ES/D can modify his replaced defense value (JSA).
Shellhead, according to the rulebook, triggers before the attack roll (once again, after the action has been given to the attacker - same timing as JSA), so it too can modify the replaced defense value of the target.
The hindering terrain modifier is also applied before the attack roll, but after the action has been given to the attacker (same timing as JSA), so, once again, it too can modify the replaced defense value of the target.
Perplex, on the other hand, happens before the action has been given to the attacker.
Ergo, Perplex and JSA aren't simultaneous, and Perplex wouldn't modify a defense value replaced by JSA.
Hope that helps.
