I'm actually quite surprised that I was lucky enough to fight back to back level one monsters. 2 sets of Wimpy Thugs in a row at this stage of the game is incredibly lucky.
Just watch, now the next monster I face is gonna be level 20

and hey, sometimes you do get lucky. I've won a game of Munchkin by beating up a Potted Plant once...
Nice!
Unfortunately, while getting all the low level monsters now means that I can level up more easily, it also means that when I have to defeat a monster to win the game, it's more likely that I'll end up having to face something considerably harder.

true true...
let's face it, the odds of getting to reshuffle the deck in this format are fairly minimal.
Gotta take a turn in my game against Viciousx, catch up in a few threads and then on to beating Starcraft. I've mostly whiped out the red team and making way for a joint force of zealots and battle cruisers on the Overmind itself.
I hope you're fully upgraded. Its quite the battle. Even a dozen Battlecruiser Yamato Cannons shooting the Overmind simultaneously won't kill it. Plus, the thing regenerates health quite rapidly. And there's a lotta Scourge around, too, so be careful.

The flying KO Bossy had little trouble dealing with the Wimpy Thugs. In fact, combating them gave him a sense of Deja Vu. After the battle was over, he looted the room of its supplies and continued on with his journey.
I go up one level and draw one treasure.

12 Battlecruisers (one of them the Hyperion) just ran over the central zerg base and used about 10 of their Y cannons on a half dead Overmind, blowing it up.
Nearby, Zeratul and his dark templar wait to finish the thing off.
Zoom back to my Protoss base and Tassadar still can't avoid his fate.
Starts as Level 2. A Level 1 character who becomes a Cyborg becomes level 2. A Cyborg character can never go below Level 2, in the same way that normal characters can't go below Level 1.
If killed, the Cyborg may choose instead to lose 2 Levels (or go to Level 2) and stay alive.
Finding no bad guys to fight, JoH searches the room, taking a door card into his hand. He'll play one of his treasure cards, a monolith, and gains a level.
Since my character sheet is on this page anyway, I'll just go ahead and kick in ze dooor.
*eeeek* A Bullrog! Level 18! Kills you!
oh wait... 'will not pursue anyone of Level 4 or below'.
Waves at Bullrog and slowly backs out of the room.
oh, and sorry for being a little stingy, JoH. Just realized you did check in within 24 hours of your last post, and that's plenty good. I was just a wee bit impatient...
