Except that isn't correct. EW is a close combat action, not a power action. The reason you can't flurry/blades/EW is that both flurry and EW require a close combat action. Since you can only give a character one non free action a turn you are limited to one or the other. Blades will combo with either since it activates when you assign a close combat action. So your choices are an attempt at up to 12 damage OR up to 6 damage penetrating.

I was referring to F5 teams I played *long ago*. I'm well aware of the ATA rules changes wrt Wildcards. I was simply referring to the point value of Fixer+Thunderbolts as being pretty close to the point value to make a particular Fearsome Five team.

When Gizmo invents something (even on the fly), it usually lasts awhile...at least long enough for a battle. I like that the SP turns an object into a power, but it should have *either* been once per game or lasts one turn, not both. Or he should have been 50 pts. At that cost, with little in the way of defense or other offense, and with a once per game+one turn SP, almost 80 pts seems like a *LOT*.

He's definitely one I want. Cool power and a fun dial. Hate that characters seem to be only getting one keyword now. No scientist for Gizmo? Either use them and any that apply to each character, or get rid of them. I prefer the former.

Sure, you could do something interesting with the power... once. And I'm sorry, in my opinion, nothing you could do with that power is worth a near 80 pt. investment on a team. Look at all the fun things Nico Minoru can do, and she only costs 5 more points than this guy. I like the idea, but it just isn't going to be worth trying in a competitive situation. I do totally agree with you on the sculpt though. I sure do hope these pieces look better in person.

I agree on the 79pt issue for the character. The dial is a little short for the points. But I still think we can get some usefullness out of the figure in a competitive situation. Guess we'll just have to wait till we play him to see if he's worth the points.

Optimally, up to three times - once for Gizmo, and then twice more for his two friendly characters.
