Cool. I went to see Stripped at Christmas, awesome experience. Though I do not get why people would pay 80 bucks for a ticket, then just film the entire show on their cell phones...
Anyway, I'm still balancing things out, but I want to get this up and running soon-ish. With all the games that started this week, it might be a good idea to let this rest for another week or two though.
Oh, and I could probably squeeze a few more players in if someone really wants to play.

I would join up, but I confess I am not entirely sure what it is for. What is the game, and how would it play?

The basic premise of the game is that there is a town that the Mafia is trying to take over. The game is divided into day phases and night phases. At night, the Mafia tries to kill one of the other players. During the day, the town gets to lynch one of the players, decided by majority vote. In the basic game, lynching is pretty much the only way for the Town to get rid of the Mafia, but of course the Mafia's job is much easier if Townies are lynched.
The Mafians all know each other and are allowed to communicate outside the game thread. The Townies, on the other hand, don't know who is trustworthy and who is not, so it basically all comes down to if the Mafia is clever enough to fool the Town and avoid being lynched until they are in majority.
This game will be a lot more complex than the basic game as there will be a lot of other things going on, but that is the basic jist of a Mafia game. YOu could always check out some finished games to see how it works.
I've only played 5 or 6 games so far and they've been pretty fun. The only real trick I can recommend is to keep in mind that it IS just a game. People will say all sorts of stuff to try to either provoke you into giving away information or to try to cover their hinder... don't take any of it personally and you'll have a good time.
normalview's first game was my Weird Al Mafia by the way. He did a good job and won.
