You wrote 'Flash hss to attack Norman'. Ummmm....you don't have Flash, do you mean Supergirl?
Whoops. I do have Flash actually. Starro Barry Allen is my last replacement. Left him off the recap. Here it is below, in case you want to change your move.
Goblin Queen (Endurance) @ E14
LE Supergirl (OR-Lazarus Pit -2) G18
Ms. Marvel (Skrull-Fortitude) @@ J20 (2)(Stealth)
Batman (AA100) @ H16 (Stealth)
Aquaman (Starro-Rip It Up) @ L16 (3)
Red Robin (Takedown) J19 (Stealth)
Sue Richards @ F15
Barry Allen (Swingline) @ K21
Can Supergirl get out of the Pit? Gets 2. Well, next turn for sure. If I last that long.
Red Robin on Iron Patriot. AV11 on DV16. Gets 7. Norm's out.
Sue on Polaris, AV8 on DV15. Gets 7. 2 to her with Psychic Blast.
Goblin Queen on Polaris, AV8 on DV13 +2. Gets 7. 2 more to Polaris and she's out. Endurance roll is 6.
One more KO before I concede and I can at least say I made you use up all your reserves.
RR Outwits Tornado Tyrant's RCE.
Batman Perplexes his own DV up by 1.
Goblin Queen (Endurance +1) @ E14 (4)
LE Supergirl (OR-Lazarus Pit -3) G18 (4)
Batman (AA100) H16 (8)
Red Robin (Takedown) @ J19 (Stealth)
Sue Richards @@ F15 (4)
Barry Allen (Swingline) K21
"You've made a mistake, Malice," the Invisible Skrull said. "A fatal one. What's the Earth phrase. What doesn't kill me makes me stronger? You didn't kill me." She hit the possessed Polaris with an invisible force javelin, piercing her chest.
"I can use Polaris's magnetic powers to keep myself alive, fool," Malice cackled.
"And what if I shut off your access to her powers?" the Goblin Queen asked. The grin dropped off of Polaris's face. Then her complexion went white. Then she crumpled to the ground like a limp rag.
"Consider yourself lucky you're just dealing with me Osborn, and not those ladies," Red Robin told the Iron Patriot. With a few well placed strikes, Red Robin disabled the Patriot's armor. He pushed the now helpless Osborn back into a pile of trash. "Right where you belong," he smiled, satisfied with his handiwork.
Yeah, might as well. Didn't get Black Hand in for you, but you're getting a lot of use out of him in the Obelisk game. And we are about done on the Favorites draft, so we can get that one rolling now that this is done.
This was fun. I do wish we had maybe gotten a little more of the switching thing in. I know this game was all about playing these less-played versions (though in some cases I don't think they are less-played: Spider-Woman, Ms Marvel) but I do enjoy it when something random happens in a game that just throws everything a-kilter.
I enjoyed this game but you're right, it needed more of what the 1 and 3 rolls intended. And I'm quite surprised to win this, my team was a bunch of old school pieces, my real advantage was the terrain, I think.
Holding the high ground helped you, I agree. I think it was intended players start at the top and bottom of this map, so that it's not so unbalanced toward one team. Chalk it up to lesson learned for mext time we use this one.
