Also how are we going to handle keywords? Strict keywords only, no keywords at all, or if they have been on the team, they have it even if Wizkids didn't give it to them ala' R Wasp?
And for purposes of this League Red Arrow is keyworded Justice League, not JLA.
I may have set upo this League, but you know me. I like feedback and input. Personally, I like a combo of #2 and #3. I used Batman earlier as a case for how we multiple teams can grab him by keyword. If every version had the same keywords, then what's the point?
HOWEVER, their are some cases (like R Wasp) who make you shake your head. She has the TA, but not the keyword. So, in playing terms she can move for free, but not contribute to team tactics to the team she founded. Now, you might be able to argue this is when her and Hank were on that extended leave from the Avengers, but every R version of Hank is keyworded Avengers. So I propose this:
This is a "best of the best" League. If you can argue why "such and such" should have a specific team keyword appropiate to your team, then try it.
I would argue that the LE Man of Steel "feels more like a Silver Age Superman than the E and definitily the V Icons versions, with the Defend starting and ending clixs. There are many comics where he did this very thing, not the "run and hide" tactics you are almost forced to play with the V Icons.
At least, that's what I would argue if this rule was agreed on, and Superclone didn't want this particular version of Superman.
And if enough people don't care, that's fine. I just want to give those who do, an opportunity to speak up. I don't want to be accused of starting this just as a place for my crazy ideas or some such. I just want to play some theme teams.

Then we draft in snake style order. In that case, if R Wasp is taken like above, then someone can take another Wasp who is slightly less effective, but still representative of the character.

Yeah, giving keywords to figs can be a slippery slope. We should give all versions the same keywords (like in the FLE) or none (like in the HCFL). Cuz on a case by case basis, we'd be here all day and never start. Cuz if we separate the REVs...what about like Multiple Man? That'd really suck to separate the RE from the V and LE.

That would take care of the draft, but what about upgrading? Let's say you draft R HT Aquaman.
Then I draft R JL Aquaman.
Who do you uprgade to? Through the Arthur Curry LE from Hypertime? Who do I upgrade to? Just the Judge's JL LE? Neither of us getting the BD version, as he isn't keyworded to any JLA team?
We could do that, but we still need a progression table for those who have them if we are going to keep some sort of upgrade system.
So, when you draft, pick two other higher figures you want to work toward. Then, someone else can draft from what's left.

Oh yeah I forgot about upgrading. What if we were to upgrade only for feats and objects?

Yeah that'd probably make things easier. Give us 600 pts to draft. It'd give us enough to draft different REVs of the same character if we wanted. All REVs of the same figure have all the keywords, which would make them theme for all possible teams. And then upgrading would be for feats and special objects. And there, that's all we have to worry about. Make it as simple as possible, especially since there's just 16 of us. No need to make it mega complex for a small group of people.

I agree with this.
HCFL Teams: The All-New, All-Different X-Men and the Justice Society of America
Before the realms, I was also on CreationMatrix and I always enjoyed the idea of the "Playground".
Ie. Random scenerios, possibly custom maps, different point totals (much like an actual comicbook)
If we can do this, AND incorporate a story that somehow involves all the teams in the league, that would be gravy.
In that sense, I agree with drafting higher point totals, like 600pts.
As for drafting figures that would both fit into the same upgrade progression...well, maybe we should limit it so that only one route is possible, and make any others belong to the same person.
I am Basing it on this post. minus the proposed do away with upgrading
but after going through the posts again I am confused.....

Take Batman, for example. If someone wanted to run an Outsiders team, they could lay claim to this progression:
R Legacy
V Alpha
V JL
The only problem being is that everyone is going to want the V JL, as he has every keyword in the book. Luckily, Lamppost Bats has the JLA keyword (the one Superclone wants, and I don't) but my progression would be:
R Alpha
R Icons
V JL
Superclone, playing the JLA keyword, could have this:
E Legacy
LE Dark Knight
U Batman
Everyone's happy. (although I wouldn't mind access to the E Legacy piece, if I have Ralph and Zee, plus theme prob's I really shouldn't need it. He will.)
