Gamora continued to go after Ant-Man, and it continued to be a task far easier said than done. Between her rage and Pym's size, the warrior woman seemed incapable of landing a hit of any kind, which only served to further drive Gamora's anger towards the miniaturized scientist.

"Oh, Hulk find shiny rock." Hulk smiled as he picked up the gem and carried it away to study it.

Meanwhile, Dr. Strange focused on Valkyrie's opponent. "Let the Eye of Agamatto reveal the true nature of this conflict once and for all." The eye burst forth a bright energy flare that seemed to cause Eros pain. He fell the the ground unconscious, and as the smoke cleared a large armoured figure was standing over him. "Very impressive sorceror. You have revealed my involvement at long last. Unfortunately your forces are weary from battle and no longer strong enough to withstand my might."

"We shall see about that." Strange replied.

Defenders Turn 14
1) Hulk picks up the Time Gem and moves to P6 picking up the LO from O6 on the way.

2) Dr. Strange will attack Starfox with RCE. AV of 9 vs DV of 15. Needs a 6 Rolls a 7 (1+6). Hits and deals 3 damage in total, earning 5 IAP in total.

Avengers turn 14c

Ant-Man and Thor were the last Avengers still conscious after this incredible battle of attrition. Doctor Strange had knocked out the Black Panther, and the green-skinned woman was relentless in her pursuit. She seemed unstoppable, impervious to attack and merciless on the offensive.

Hank was increasingly overcome by a strange fog i nhis head, probably brought on by his repeated attempts to bend the Soul Gem's power to his will. He tried once again to strengthen Thor, the Avengers' first, best, and last hope, but the Soul Gem was not enough on its own.

Both Ant-Man and Thor felt - rather than saw - that a shift in the battle had occurred. Thanos had revealed himself when Eros was knocked out. Despite his large size and poewrful stature, he moved quickly across the super-collider's vast room to confront Adam Warlock.





- Ant-Man uses the Support optioon of the Soul Gem on Thor > 9 and 14 > roll: 3+2=5 SUCCESS; Support > roll: 4; Thor gets back 4 clicks.
- ('free') Ant-Man uses Perplex to decrease Gamora's -1.

Actually using the Soul Gem doesn't subtract 2 from the roll like normal regen and Support do. So Thor would heal up by 4 clicks.

And Uatu has Power Cosmic, so he cannot be outwitted.

What about Hulk's move?

You're right Mike. I think Wakanda forgot that beginning in hindering terrain would cut Hulk's movement down to 3 squares.

No, Hulk has the Unstoppable feat; the question is whether he may move diagonally from N6 to O5...

Just put Hulk in O6 instead. I think you may be right since they changed the way that moving between elevations works

"I'd give you a chance to surrender, Warlock, but I don't expect you'd accept." Thanos said. "Not that I'd take much pleasure in such a show of weakness anyway."

There were few things that could have deterred Gamora from her chase after Ant-Man and Thor. Thanos was definitely one of those things.

As the Titan's voice echoed through the room, both she and Adam Warlock realized they had been played. The Avengers were not their enemy - Thanos had tricked them all.

With an angry scowl on her face, Gamora reversed course and went after Thanos instead.

"THANOS!" She shouted. "This ends!"
"Of course it does." He said. "But please have some patience. I shall deal with you soon enough."

"I don't intend to let you have the chance." Adam said.

Thanos didn't respond, instead focusing on the space wizard and the reality gem he held. He quickly struck, but Warlock was able to withstand the blow thanks to reinforcing his defenses with the aid of his gem.

"Quill, take he gem and get it away from Thanos." He said.

"No questions there." Quill said, picking up the Space Gem he and Warlock had previously exposed and giving the two cosmic beings some breathing room.

"It won't do him any good." Thanos said, taunting the Guardians. "Not for long, anyway."

"Perhaps." Adam Warlock said. "But perhaps it won't have to."

Calling upon the power of his Gem once gain, Adam lowered Thanos' defenses and struck the Titan with all of his might. Not seeing it coming, he suffered a mighty blow, and with it his calm slowly began to disappear.

"I do believe you just destroyed my restraint." Thanos said. His fists glowed with energy as he prepared for the real counter-attack. "What I had left of it."

Guardians Turn 15
1) Peter Quill pushes, grabs the Space Gem and moves to L12. Quill takes 1 damage.

Free) Adam Warlock uses the Reality Gem, increases his Damage Value +2.

2) Adam Warlock pushes to attack Thanos, 10 vs 18. Attack roll is 4,5 (9) for a hit, Thanos's Impervious roll is 4, Adam hits Thanos for 3 (+2 Perplex, -2 Impervious, 3 total). Adam gets 3 TA/IA. Adam takes 1 click of pushing damage.

3) Gamora forgets about Ant-Man and Thor, chases after Thanos instead and goes to I13.

narratively, the Avengers are now in an awkward position... how can the Avengers believe the Defenders are thralls of Thanos when they are attacking him?... i'm not sure how to play this now because the editorial instructions say that the Defenders/Guardians win if Thanos is defeated while 'Uatu' is still on the board...
