After reading everything thus far, I think I may have figured out a member of the mafia. It's through entirely meta reasons, though. So I'm not really wanting to do anything yet based on that.

That's okay, because the logical play is for me to target you, the mafia to kill me, and the sun to rise in the east the next day.

Meta reason is better than nothing, and as you said, you could be NK, so lets make this worth

Fun fact, the other main character on Breaking Bad is on Veronica Mars as "The Worm", a guy who takes video of girls at bars and sells them to girls gone wild.

I spent the entire first episode going, "Where do I know him from?" I laughed and laughed when I IMDB'd and found out it was Leo.

In case the vig got overeager, jailkeeping me would insure the mafia would have a distraction or scapegoat in me. Pretty simple really.
