Dude! I'm chilling. Just stated the obvious. When I thought about drinking the potion and I looked at Capwolf's dial, I saw he had Battle fury, so I figured I would be immune to her. It went into my decision to drink it or not.

That's I moved Widow and Brand to target the Stoker. Because I figured if I could take him down, I could get Capwolf over to help the others take down the vamps. I based that decision on the fact that cap couldn't be mind controlled.

I have to keep remembering that since this is a role playing game the rules are not set in stone and are subject to change sometimes.

I was about to reply but I noticed that you appear to have miscounted; Black Widow CAN make it to the stairs if she wants to.

Did you want to redo her movement, or was putting her in J4 intentional?

I would love to put her on the stairs, but she only has an 8 movement which means she can only reach I2 at max. If that is on the stairs, that's what I was trying for. I just run through the other room, incase I would see something of interest.

Story:
Widow tapped her comlink, "I'm in position at the stairs are you ready!" Clay replied, "Me and Gabe are ready, we are currently reloading and getting ready you do the same, and Brown will cover our exit.' Ok! Once Brand gets here I let you know when to go!"

Brand saw the two Vampires approaching, She yelled "Widow you got two coming our way!", then she retreated next to Widow.

Morbius was being surrounded, he figured the lesser vampires would have a tough time hitting him because of his speed, He knew the behemoth could be hit, but could he hurt it? He questioned himself. He made his decision and slashed with his claws on Willow. She attempted to dodge, but both of his claws struck home, and she fell to the ground with two gaping gashes in her body. "You will be next rider!", Yelled Morbius

Morbius yelled "Meine freunds! I don't know how much longer I can hold out, go now!" He hoped he could survive long enough to get the serum to cure the Falcon man, but he wasn't even sure if he had any left.

Baron Blood drank down the last of his champaign flute filled with rich red blood, savoured the flavour on his tongue and the texture rolling down his throat, then set the glass aside. He was full aware that his castle had been invaded. That his death-traps had been escaped and many of his minions dispatched. Very soon the situation would call for his own hand.

A hard knock came at the door to his chambers. Ah, that was them already. Another thundering knock, and then the door flew open under a kick from Clay Quartermain's boot.

Baron Blood turned slowly and deliberately to face this intruder. His long decades of experience allowed him to control the bloodlust that urged him to leap on this fool and tear crimson sustenance from Clay's throat. No, Blood had too much dignity to act as the beastly neophytes did. He locked Clay in place with a smouldering gaze, his burning red pupils piercing the darkened inner chamber.

Two shots rang out, blowing the lock off the eastern door. Blood turned to see the SHIELD operative codenamed Black Widow spring through the splintered door and level her weapons at him. An annoyed snarl crossed Blood's face, extending his inhuman fangs at her to express his displeasure. With his escape route cut off he was taking on the countenance of a caged animal. A roar and a he was upon her, only one of Widow's bullets managing to find his belly before he had seized her and knocked the weapons from her hands.

Clay sunk two more rounds into the Baron's back, but the vampire lord ignored him. He dragged the kicking Black Widow to the tower window and shoved her through the beautiful stained glass. Jagged shards rained down to the ground below, those that didn't sink into Widow's flesh anyway. The scent of her blood tempted him to spirit her off and make her his next meal, perhaps keep her as his newest mistress... but the loss of his castle and his nocturnal empire still hung over him like a dark cloud. No, these SHIELD agents would not receive life eternal; Baron Blood would grant them only death.

A flood of hot white light engulfed Blood suddenly. His eyes burned and he hissed in pain and immediately pulled his webbed hands up to his face protectively, dropping Widow as a result. She didn't scream but kicked off away from the rushing castle wall far enough to fire a grapple-cord from her wrist-mounted launcher weapon (what the SHIELD techs had dubbed the "Widow's Line"). She swung to safety on the ground, and looked up to see the Baron now totally enraged and framed in the floodlights of the SHIELD Helicarrier.

"Fuuuurrrryyyy..." the undead Baron growled, his body contorting and strangely shifting shape. His claws elongated and his arms warped into gigantic batlike wings, and the Baron's face became even less human that it had begun. With a sweep of his limbs Baron Blood hurtled from the castle tower and flew directly towards the offending airship.

"Cap? CAAAAP!" shouted agent Brand, chasing after the fleeing Dr. Nightshade. As the castle's defenders fell to SHIELD's onslaught Nightshade had done something to Captain America and agent Carter, turned them into wolf-like beasts under her control. She had used them to kill some sort of escaped lab experiment, and now they were loping off into the night, leaving...

"H-hhh-ellllll-p..." wheezed the wretched pale thing that writhed on the ground in agony, clutching the stump of the arm that the Cap-Wolf had torn off with his teeth. Helpless now, the thing evoked enough sympathy that Brand wondered where on Earth it had come from. Had it been a person, once? Now it clutched at Captain America's dropped shield, clinging to it like a memento.

"FFFFFFURY!" Blood rasped, tossing aside SHIELD agents and fighter jets alike as he rampaged his way across the upper deck of the Helicarrier. Director Fury stood resolutely in front of the bridge, pump action shotgun in hand.

"I've owed you a facefull of shot since World War Two," Nick grunted. He wasn't sure if he could stop Baron Blood... he wasn't sure if anything could stop him now.

Blood was four-fifths down the length of the Helicarrier when a miracle occurred. For a week now the sun had been nothing more than a dull copper-red glow. But only now that Blood had been driven from the safety of his ancient castle sanctuary did the sun regain it's former glory. In second the faint haze became a bright afternoon day, a warm yellow sun hanging amidst a cool ocean blue sky as though nothing had been out of the ordinary. Blood may never even have realize what was happening; even as his skin blackened and caught fire his momentum carried him forward in his charge down the aerial warship's runways.

In the end the shrivelled, mummy-like remains of Baron Blood crumpled to the ground not fifteen yards from Nick Fury's feet.

Several Days Later

The battle had taken it's toll on SHIELD's resources. Many of their top agents had been injured, even hospitalized, and others left in even stranger conditions than that. Fury struggled to shrug off the guilt of sending an LMD instead of leading his troops personally. Even if it had been vitally important to root out of one Hydra's best-protected leaders, it had perhaps cost SHIELD even more.

"Our contacts in MI6 suggest that Nightshade made it across the border into former soviet territories. If she's got allies in Russia she could be pretty well hidden," Agent Dugan summarised for Nick. "I know you want him back Sarge, Cap meant a lot to all us Howlers, but we gotta face the fact that we just don't have the manpower to take on the Reds right now."

Steve Rogers, his friend... was a furry, fanged slave to the mad scientist Nightshade. Agent Carter too, one of Nick's most trusted agents. He had promised Peggy that he would watch out for her little girl. He couldn't just leave them.

"Communiqué from Project: Pegasus, director Fury," announced Brand, breaking into Fury's train of thought. Nick faced the comm board and let the message come through.

"Doctor Samson, I sure hope you have some good news for me."

"I'll let you be the judge, but I daresay it is an intriguing development. Thanks to Dr. Morbius' assistance we've learned a great deal about the medical properties of so-called 'vampirism'. Curing it is still out of our reach for now but we can treat it. I believe Mr. Wilson will even be fit to return to duty."

That was a relief. The Falcon was a big asset and SHIELD would have been hard pressed to replace him. "Treat it?" Fury inquired, "Should I be stocking up on type-O negative for the staff lounge?"

Samson laughed confidently, perhaps inappropriately so. "No, not for Sam. However, there is someone else here whose condition is a little more advanced..."

With a pivot Doc Samson cleared the camera's view and showed Fury the interior of one of Pegasus' bio-labs. Strapped to one of the medical beds was someone Fury never expected to see again; Bucky Barnes, now a grown man, if someone haggard and gaunt looking. His left arm had been replaced by robotic prosthetic.

"Morbius' treatments returned much of his human appearance, but Blood's experiments left him different from typical vampires. Even after our treatments Mr Barnes is stronger and more resilient than any human should be. The robotic arm serves as an inconspicuous place to keep our medication feeding continuously into his bloodstream... without it, his monstrous form could manifest again."

"I'm glad to hear it. Tell him that when we're finished in Europe I will be happy to bring him up to speed on everything he's missed in the second half of the 20th century-"

"About that," Samson interrupted, but was stopped himself by Barnes approaching the camera. In his robotic hand the revived war hero held his old partner's indestructible, star-spangled shield.

"All due respect Sargent - sorry, Director - Fury, but if Steve needs help then I'm gonna be there. And until Steve is safe, SHIELD is gonna need a new Captain America."

Dude this is Genius! I love how you brought Bucky in, also how you tied it all together with WCA ending. Excellent Job! Plus it leaves lots of openings for Bucky and Cap to be tied back together against each other. Like cap was looking for Bucky, now Bucky will be looking for Cap.

I know both of us had some issues we had to work through. I admit I felt like I was out classed and underpowered versus those Indom vamps. Plus I was really worried about having anyone left for the Boss battle. But it all worked out, since there was no boss battle, and in the end, and you tied it all together nicely.

I'm sad to lose Cap and Agent-13, but at least I got a replacement Cap and I will be adding spider-woman too. So it all worked out.

Thanks for giving me the option to restart, it made everything possible. Otherwise my whole team would have been destroyed.

Assuming you are not planning to recruit him, Morbius will stay with Project Pegasus for the time being. Like Samson and the other scientists there he is not actually part of your team, but you may get to play him as part of Pegasus issues from time to time.

No I won't recruit him, he doesn't fit the mold of the Shield team, and he has no progressions. Plus, I like that he can be with Pegasus and part of that team. Finally, I don't have the TXP and wouldn't for while.

Also, I assume Falcon is allowed to buy Heightened Senses, due to the vampire bite, correct? I figured it's a cool side effect. He can even slight vamp out when he makes a roll, it's a good story effect.
