While I agree some of these go on for too long, and people have pointless circular arguments about tangents to the actual problem, it doesn't mean the original power is OK.
Reading just the trait, how often can this lion bystander be given an action as a free action?
Once each time it would apply. When can you give your characters free actions?
I meant, "what does that even mean" within the context of your position. I assumed that went without saying.
It's saying that little, words here and there and little changes can lead to some surprising outcomes. Just like the including of the word "one" in the Trait in question. I didn't know I needed to spell that out.
Please feel free to contribute anything to the thread that's constructive about the question at hand, instead of circling posts like a vulture, waiting to pick off a bit. Look at the big picture.

I can give my characters free actions during a game of heroclix. I can give my characters free actions during a round. I can give my characters free actions during my turn. I can give my characters free actions at the beginning of my turn. I can give my characters free actions at the end of my turn.
I suppose that it qualifies for an errata, but...it seems pretty easy to figure out at the table.
Example:
DUDEGUY: Hey, can the lion just keep attacking forever, until the game is over or a player jumps up in disgust?
ME: I'd say no.
DUDEGUY: But the card doesn't say that he can only do it once per turn.
ME: No, you're right. Clearly the designers intended for there to be a figure that allows you to attack as long and as fast as you feel like rolling the dice.
DUDEGUY: Really!?
ME: No, I was being sarcastic. Stop it.
I agree, except I think in this case I feel it could be equally argued that the free action happens once per game, or the free action happens once per turn. That is a big difference.

I love the relationship between you and dudeguy.

I understand your arguement, I was just curious about where Sam fell. I'm sorry if you feel that this was vulturing, as that was not my intent.
And as for the topic of the thread, I have nothing constructive to contribute. There's literally nothing else to say that would further either case. If you feel that precludes me from participating in the conversation, then I'd have to disagree.

It's OK. You have MY approval to continue to participate in the "conversation".

Yes, and it applies during all of those. If you give a character free actions during your turn, then you give them free actions during the round. If you give them free actions during the round, then you give them free actions during the game.

Fine...fine...you can stay, but you have to agree to reorganize my heroclix cards in exchange for my cardless watchtower batman....after ASM comes out.

Agreed. The rest of the answer I feel can be inferred, but the part of the wording that sticks with me that I don't think has been answered yet is whether the free action is once per game or once each turn. As I read the trait, that is as clear as mud.

I hadn't even considered what ASM was going to do that mess!

This is the issue that actually sticks out to me as well. Sure, a clarification and its sorted out. Sure, it groks that way. But the wording doesn't do a satisfactory job of expressing this.

As long as Alyosha Kraven is on the map, Gulyadkin the Lion can be given one action as a free action."
Can we at least all agree that if you and an opponent both play Alyosha, and Alyosha gets KO'd, both opponents' lions can be given an action as a free action as long as one (doesn't matter which) Alyosha is on the map.
