Black Adam entered Metropolis and confronted Lex Luthor. Luthor was flanked by the Silver Swan and Metallo. Adam grilled Luthor about everything. Luthor answered as best he could. Gradually, Adam got the full story of the peculiar situation they were all in.

When Adam felt certain he understood exactly what was going on, he made an agreement of mutual support with Luthor.

He then discreetly reconnoitered the other cities, bristling a little when he found Hawkman's home of Midway City.

When he reached Capital City, he invaded the JSA headquarters; confronting Jesse Quick and a visiting Doc Samson, who was still applying therapy for the traumatized citizens.

His abrupt appearance and demeanor caused Doc Samson to attempt to throw him out. This resulted in Doc Samson getting his powerful arms dislocated. Before Adam could do more damage, Jesse Quick intervened.

"What do you want Adam?"

"I wanted to say hello."

"By attacking my visitors?"

"Bah! where are the true Justice Society? I'm not here to banter with children!"

Reluctantly; Jesse replied, 'It's just me, Hawkman and Starman for now."

Adam looked back at her dourly. "Indeed? How unfortunate." With that he departed.

Jesse hurried Doc Samson to medical attention.

It became obvious to Hercules and Beta Ray Bill that Amora had abandoned them,

What was further obvious, was that they were going to die of boredom waiting for an assault on Asgard. No one had attempted anything -- yet.

Hercules especially, was craving action. Despite everything else, Amora had placed several mystical defenses on Asgard during her time here. They began to consider spelling each other in the defense of Thor's home.

Finally, something dawned on Hercules. He could prevail on his father to loan defenders to Asgard.

Delighted with his new insight. Hercules hied himself to Olympus and prevailed on his father to do just that. Zeus complied by assigning several Titans to guard Asgard's borders. This freed both Hercules and Beta Ray Bill to return to adventuring.

Hercules and Beta Ray Bill went immediately to Avengers headquarters to celebrate their newfound emancipation.

Mysterio greeted the Weather Wizard on his arrival. Mr. Sinister was still catatonic after his encounter with the Ghost Rider. The woman he had with him was still a blank slate.

Mysterio offered the Weather Wizard sanctuary while he waited out the extra heat that the attention given to Central City caused.

They waited and debated how to bring Mr. Sinister back to his senses.

The five members of the Legion of Superheroes that had been brought here reacted in different ways. Brainiac 5 did what he always did and immersed himself in science.

Lightning Lad worked overtime to cater to the needs of his wife, Saturn Girl.

Cosmic Boy spent his time studying everything he could learn about Magneto who was a very dangerous analog to himself and it was inevitable that Rokk would have to confront this dangerous terrorist.

Chameleon Boy spent his time spying on the native American tribes surrounding Smallville. He wondered about the Skrulls he'd been hearing about. He wanted to investigate them but Garth, Rokk and Imra did not feel that they could risk a confrontation at this time. They had to resign themselves to defending Smallville for now.

And that's where I think I'll wrap up the Ultimates arc. My apologies for anyone that was hoping for actual Ultimates characters, but I don't find them interesting. What a lot of hubris it was to think that they could do better then Lee/Kirby. But that's my opinion so better saved for private discussions.

Next up, I give a shot at depicting the Statesman for the City Of Heroes arc which will be relatively short since I will be adding only one character.

I might do this tonight but more likely, I'll pick it back up Saturday.
