Feel Girathon is coming to RP's aid because he knows something. Short of an out-and-out stopping of a Kill appearing, yes, there is always large reason to be suspicious of only one Kill on N1.

If you're town, this is a poor play on your part based on emotion and not logic. The town has a huge weapon in the day phase and the information it uncovers. If you stubbornly refuse to claim because you don't agree with the reasoning for the pressure, you are wasting the day phase and will only draw more unwanted attention on yourself with people always questioning your claims until your autopsy.

There's no set-up. It is safe to assume that in every mafia game, there will be a mafia and a SK. If only one kill occurs on N1, then it comes across as suspicious to automatically jump to the conclusion that we may not have a SK, rather than to conclude that a kill was somehow prevented by any number of the established powers in the game. And immediately asking about the failed/nonexistent SK specifically leads us to believe that the failed kill was from your mafia and that's how you know it succeeded, or that you're the SK and know you failed, but are trying to imply that there is no SK to cover for yourself.

This is something we've seen numerous times over the hears. I'm not being mean or elitist, just bluntly honest. There's a reason SL, Rokk, and myself all picked up on it. Your apparent flub is one I've even made myself a few times.

The thought had crossed my mind, but I'd rather not split the vote at this point. We should focus on RP until he feels inclined to be cooperative. Even when Chaz used to do it as a townie, early game stonewalling, only made me want to vote for him more.

I do see what stan is saying. I do believe there was no slip up by RP. I do think his stubbornness is stupid. Therefore, Vote RP. Come on Rorschach, lets just get a claim over with. If you are town, I know where you are coming from and understand but a claim is better then a false lynch.

I won't deny that.

And that's fine that your experience leads you to that conclusion. I really do get that. But my inexperience leaves me with no way of even guessing whether a SK is to be expected in this game short of exhaustively checking other mafia games with 15 players, referencing Chi's random generator (which had a SK at I think 12-13, but had balance issues), or, asking those who would know.

You can say that I'm wasting the day phase, but I can tell you that I have zero information for you. I took no action last night, so there's nothing to determine there. This is s worse than even random pressure, and I'm not alone in wasting the day phase.

If there's anything to be done this day phase, I can't help you determine what that is as I have no information to provide to help the town. But I can assure you that the "flub" that you are so focused on is not what you seem to think that it is. It was a question, not an answer.
