I'm cult-nervous from other games, but this does not look like he was brought before the master for a recruit, but instead a restraining. Please, tell me if you read this differently.

I'm highly skeptical of the lack of discussion about the one kill write-up. On the other hand, I have not been able to watch the cat videos while at work, so I bet I'm really missing out on the fun.

You would have to take that up with Rokk_Krinn.

I believe that would be modicide.

I am a little rusty, so correct me if any of this is wrong. Who can typically make kills: SK, Vig, Mafia. Vig might have decided not to make a kill on N1. Mafia/SK could have done the same. There might not even be an SK in the game though.

It really depends, but generally yeah. Even in a small game, there are usually two anti-town factions.

Usually it is Mafia and a Serial Killer.

Sometimes there will be additional factions, such as a cult or additional anti-everyone forces that somehow also kill things.

Unless Quebbster set up this game with an unusual ratio (like lots of mafia, all the rest town) or an unusual faction mix, we should expect two kills.

I think its likely that there is a Vig who didn't want to risk hitting town last night. Probably no SK this game.

SK generally cannot decide to not make a kill. In some games they can, but they are few and far between.

Usually, the Serial Killer (SK) and the Mafia are compelled to kill. They cannot NOT kill. Many mods add text that states "as a night action you MUST target a player for a nightkill" or something to that effect to make the kill mandatory.

But that is not universal. Sometimes a serial killer (or a mafia) can chose not to kill. (I've done it at least once in one of my games for the SK).

9 times out of 10, you expect to have 2 kills on night 1, sometimes 3-4 in larger games. This usually means that someone got blocked, but there is not a lot in the write-up about it. Some mods will not put every blocked kill in the write-up, though.

This looks like one attacker to me, not two. So i would hesitate to say that both the mafia and another faction both hit rorsch on night 1. Always possible, though, and just not included in the write-up.

Well, I'm done speculating. Without anyone else coming forward with something more than my musings, I'm pretty happy with the phase.

What could this represent? Or is it just flavor for the story?

It could mean a number of things. Depending on mod, it could be something significant or relatively innocuous. I lean towards significant though. I'm trying to think of in-game abduction instances. There's the Groot sprig when the Guardians came. There's the Wolverine one from Enemy of State. Drawing blanks on other ones.
