Then we have to consider that first character alignments will be false leads altogether. I don't think a Mafia member would be revealed as Mafia and then have a second non-Mafia character. They'd have to remain scum but we would know it immediately if they were listed as Mafia the first time.
@TSP: Thanks for pointing that out about XP. Makes me feel a bit better.
As for all the questions about the Justice League = Evil. I'll just ask if I'm the only one confused why that's even a topic when the affiliations section tells us who's the likely Don and nothing about his name speaks JL.
I wouldn't be surprised if there were two mafia. Last game had two and this one has more players. That said, I don't think Justice League is one of those mafias. I have guesses to what there would be if there are two.
In the last game, the mafia members were recommended not to register under their own names so that if resurrected they could not out their prior members.
Well we saw how well that went. We didn't make it through Day 3. I think that will change here, especially with so many important characters leading up mafias.
Do you think it's impossible for one of your games to be more helpful to the scum than the town? That's not a rhetorical question.
Yours is a great question in that its telling. I just posted above that my questions helped the mafia eliminate all town in our first vanilla game.
Some questions are massively helpful to the mafia. That one wasn't.
As I was controlling the day 1 question, hearing about a second less helpful question wouldn't matter. Unless things get crazy, this will (as historically has bee the case) the sole question. There will be plenty of other discussion points.
It is the equivalent of getting on a boat and asking everyone else which boat they would have gotten on to hypothetically. As we are already on this boat, the answer will not get us to another boat.

They were last game, which had basically the same system. In fact I don't think any mafia folks had 2nd characters who were the same alignment.
And yeah Sineater is the big bad but I wouldn't be surprised if it's like last game where there's 2 mafias but the big bad is neutral (Providence last game).

You forget that the rules say our goal is to eliminate Sineater? Even if it wasn't, you'd know if the League was a mafia by Day 2.
So...wut are you on about? You bad?
Sorry, that probably wasn't super coherent (rewrote that part a few times). But no I think saying "hey these arguments will not work but these ones will!" helps scum more than town. It's basically telling them what buttons to push to get you behind their lynch.
*shrug* I just don't really see how this line of questioning helps town at all.

I am more interested in seeing what sort of behavior individuals want to avoid by their answers. Saying something amorphous is the equivalent of dodging.
More than anything else, though, I think it forces people to discuss what they actually think and get committed to answering.
I think your answer is a very cbob answer, of course. I don't think its indicative of alignment. I can say otherwise about others already, though.
Was that directed at me? I feel like most confusion and frustration is directed at me as a matter of policy.
lol yeah... your post made 0 sense. Between the 6 mentions of both questions and boats my eyes began to melt.
Are you calling Jack out for asking you if your games screw up the town after you admitted that they do? That's the closest I got, but the stuff kept going.

The boat is an argument and the mafia wants to convince you that one of the boats is bad and not headed to a mafia lynch.
The point is, why do we gotta announce which boat we think has the best buffet?

I am suspicious of Jack for attacking the question as anti-town, asking a rhetorical sounding question that was written to sound instructive , and not realize that I had already admitted as much about four posts prior.
it sounded to me like he was posturing, trying to make me sound bad without substance, but not really reading the thread closely. Mostly, it sounded like he was trying to find something to latch onto to make others look bad early on for future manipulation.
And I like metaphors and I get incomprehensible sometimes.
