Starhawk, Hawkman and Hawkwoman managed to overcome their White Martian adversaries and they rejoined the fight against the Covenant and the Locust horde.

J'onn J'onz defeated his white Martian and was about to help Captain Comet or Richard Rider with theirs when Adam Strange asked that he and Starhawk use their powers to get Master Chief and Cortana into the Covenant Compound so Cortana could access their database.

J'onn agreed and he Starhawk collected Master Chief who was carrying Cortana in his armor and flew off on their mission.

The rest of the remaining Street Fighters; Ken Masters, Dee Jay, Lei Fong, T. Hawk, Cammy White, E. Honda, Guile, ChunLi, Blanka, Dhalsim and Zangief were brought along to help as well as keep an on Akuma.

The GoW team stayed out to try to locate new arrivals along with their Spartan and Rann police escorts. Pacifist Dhalsim was sent with them to watch for any new street fighter arrivals.

Day 75: Midnight; on a replicated planet Rann. in an alternate reality.

Ryu had no idea that so many of the Street Fighters had been taken away earlier in the day before him. He was in Tokyo and should have been sleeping but was restless and decided to go for a short walk for some fresh air.

As he stepped out, he was taken by a rift in reality.

Tartarus lived again! The Brute Chieftain reared up to his full nine foot plus frame. He was armed with his Fist of Rukt and was carrying a Type 25 Carbine at his side. He also had a supply of Invincibility stashed.

A patrol of Rannian cops spotted him and attacked only to get rebuffed by his shields.

Because they were flying, he pulled out his carbine and began picking them off.

Ryu emerged from the rift in reality in time to witness a towering apelike creature slaughter four flying men with a spray of bullets from a carbine.

Ryu was appalled and fired a fireball using his Haduken power. It was deflected by Tartarus' shields.

Ryu realized he was going to have to close with this monster.

Ryu moved in close to try take the beast down with his martial arts.

Tartarus grinned when he saw the small human coming and armed his Fist of Rukt.

To Ryu, the grin looked like a grimace of rage but he kept his cool and continued his rush.

Tartarus swung out with his fist but Ryu was swift enough to evade it and he planted a kick right into Tartarus' sternum.

The Jiralhanae chieftain felt the blow but he was not fazed.

Ryu regrouped for another attack.

The Gears of War team arrived in their Armadillo accompanied by a Spartan, Dhalsim and a Rannian policeman.

The Spartan immediately prepared to attack the Brute Chieftain but could not get a clean shot because of Ryu.

Dhalsim used his stretching power to grasp Ryu and pull him out of the line of fire.


The Spartan opened fire and Tartarus immediately ran to him and crushed him with the Fist of Rukt.

The Rannian policeman flew too close and caught a crushing blow from the Fist of Rukt that shattered his head like a melon.

Ryu broke free of Dhalsim's grasp and attacked Tartarus again.

Adam Strange finally decided to call in the cavalry and the Justice League were summoned.

It would be some time before they would get to Rann though. They would have to arrive by Zeta Beam and that would have to wait until the team could be gathered in sufficient numbers.

Dhalsim had no choice but to aid Ryu in an assault on Tartarus. He had no idea that this was his Ryu and not Evil Ryi. He had been told that Ryu had succumbed to evil and had attacked several of the Street Fighters earlier.

He did not know that now; in this universe, there were two Ryus, one good and one evil.

The Gears of War team saw what had happened to the Spartan and the Rannian policeman. They knew that the Spartan was supposed to be some sort of super soldier and they had not been given any reason to disbelieve that during their time with him.

They took positions well away from the Brute Chieftain and waited for opportunities to pepper the beast with fire whenever the two Street Fighters were out of the line of fire.

They marveled that two unarmed men were willingly engaging this threat.

The Midnight Rambler was under orders to get Tartarus away and have him join the Prophet of Regret and lead the Jiralhanae in the larger fight.

He was waiting for an opportunity to do so.

Dhalsim and Ryu tried to confuse their opponent but Tartarus was wary and kept them both at bay.

Finally, Tartarus had a chance to down an Invincibility potion and managed to clip both Ryu and Dhalsim, knocking them both out.

Tartarus stared at the GoW team defiantly. All five of them opened fire on the Brute Chieftain but his shields held.

He began to advance on them but the Midnight Rambler could not wait any longer and spirited Tartarus away so that he could meet with the Prophet of Regret, General Raam and Kantus.

The GoW soldiers breathed a sigh of relief and that's when Captain Beyond took them away to their home planet of Sera.

When Mister Fixit got up, he was not happy. He knew he'd been hit with a cheap shot and he knew who did it.

He didn't know the identity of who did it to him and he didn't care. Whoever this clown was, his new name was lunchmeat.

But the Grey Hulk wasn't stupid. He decided to let the White Martian tenderize the SOB and he'd mop up.

So Mister Fixit bided his time while Akuma battled the White Martian.
