Man that is a mad scientist dial in the classic comic vein. You've certainly got to either put him down fast or double tap him before he can bring his Doomsday Device tokens into play.
I like the scientist to powered armor jockey transition of the 150 point dial. Charge-flurry envenomed with Poison is a hell of a back dial.
If this set had maps he'd definitely have a double sided Map Lab/Stronghold with different map bonuses for both.
Since I don't know the background is Baron Blade a army of costumed lackeys kind of mad scientist or an army of robot minions kind of villain?
Of course he could have both!

Baron Blade has a small Eastern European Country that supplies his human armies.
He does build LMD style body-doubles of himself.
He's most famous for building Doomsday Devices that would kill him too.
The Teralunar Impulsion Beam was designed to drop the moon onto Megalopolis just to kill Legacy, because Legacy's father killed Baron Blade's father.

Ah "Omnicidal Maniac" with shades of "Balkans Dictator". Makes you long for Dr. Doom's condescending paternalism, at least he wants the world to survive.

Yes.
Although, Blade isn't so much a nihilist, as it seems he's really just singly focused. It doesn't matter if the world dies as long as Legacy dies, Blade wins.
He doesn't want the world destroyed, his just ok if it does as long as he wins.
(Note: this doesn't make him any better.)

Mass Leviate - Holy Smokes, that is awesome. I can't remember ever seeing a tweak like this on TK. Powerful effect. Then you've got Mind Control. I feel like MC has taken a hit since the new rules (though it plays much cleaner now), the opportunity to reposition 3 opponents is never a bad thing, much less get to attack with all three.
yeah it's amazing how much a simple thing as an "ee" tk can make the eyes bulge to consider it. it's super potent, but still requires clusters to pull off. I think the verbiage is sufficient to cover any issues with it and make intent clear, which is a big thing for me.
I hear you on mc taking a BIG hit. it's missing a lot of the fun but mc should still be useful, especially at her bargain basement glass-jaw cost. that should put a huge target on that bald forehead of hers, but if your opponent's diving after a cheap piece, she's doing her job that way too
team effort!

First off, that bump you gave Mystics TA - Wow, that is awesome. Talk about mutually assured destruction.
His glass cannon design calls back to old school range masters. I also like how he doesn't start with the staff.
The coolest part is the neat combo of throwing the staff at a badguy, then running over and picking it up to auto heal. Might be a little difficult to pull off, but man it would be cool when you did.
If I have one criticism, is there are a lot of bonuses to keep track of with this guy. Which is not necessarily a bad thing.
yeah, that's fair. +1 range attack, +1 dmg, +1 range, +1 . that is a lot. at least it's all offensive bonuses and all +1s so hopefully easier to manage. then again you can always throw away the staff to clean things up . it would be grand to finish someone off with the staff throw, run over (or get tk'd ) and snag it to heal back up. keep this long-bomber going

Beautiful work and excellent translation of the cards to clix!
thank you, kindly. I find I play the mobile app more, too. though nothing bets the feel of the cards and that sweet smell of carboard when I get a chance to break out the ultimate collector's box and get a game going with my friends
thanks for your donations in the kickstarter, btw. I really appreciate getting to enjoy the game
I love the Hasten Doom/Terralunar Impulsion Beam mechanic. Ten rounds or less to auto-win BUT no points! So good.
Mobile Defense Platform as STEALTH . . . Brilliant!
Elemental Redistributor as Shapechange. I love it!
Just one question, though . . . Where is the Regression Serum?
thank you! I really want to play into the hectic rush to take him out, even if it requires overextending yourself to do it. baron can be a real jerk at times, especially if all those defensive, diversionary and distracting cards keep coming into to play to delay your efforts to keep him from killing the world. so I stacked all those ugh abilities on top of each other to keep you from being able to deal with this turtler spending all his efforts to build that doomsday device. I took some cues from avm red skull, obviously, to make it work. what a brilliant design that still is. if you go cheap he's an overpriced perplexer that's trying to stay out of the way. if you go all in he's got his taking-care-of-business card-flip to come out swinging and get his revenge once you've scuttled his diabolical plans
I didn't play up the regression serum (beyond it's presence on the art for hasten doom), since I was sticking to the emphasis on his big boom and the cards he has in that dial. though, no worries. he's a repeater as a prime representing his vengeance deck

baron blade has his blade battalion, which shows up as generics in this set *cough*tomorrow*cough* and he's got some other crazy gear coming out of mordengrad, his very own latveria. making the device's win conditions be without victory points was a bit of an on-the-nose consideration of the "price" of victory, but it could be grand in a tournament setting, and make that cheap win costly in the grand scheme of things. if nothing else, it was fun to write so I hope it would come across as fun to play
from the getgo, first game I played was against baron blade and when he pulled the moon into the earth, game over. I was like, well, this game is flipping awesome. shuffle 'em again!

Your right its really more of a 'Six of one, half a dozen of the other".
speaking of a dozen, I think baron blade is more of a "gotta crack a few eggs to make an omelet" kind of guy

My first game was against Citizen Dawn at Insula Primalis.
It didn't matter if we won or lost, because Ra's Flesh of The Sun God protected us all from the Volcano erupting which took out all of the Citizens causing Dawn to flip.
That was so amazing, I knew I wanted to play again!

oh man, that sounds fun. the first time I figured out that absolute zero was cool was on insula primalis against grand warlord voss and reflecting all that fire dmg everywhere and healing up from the frosthounds. he single-handedly held the line that day and he just clicked for me

Even if they wanted reuse the sculpt they could do several variants within the same sculpt reuse. Its one of the reasons I picked the "Assassin" from X-Men Animated to dump in the last pump and dump thread.
They could have easily fitted three assassin variants onto that dial giving massive added play value and fleshing out the "Assassins Guild" as a playable keyword. It certainly can't be an increase in cost to print a few more squares on the dials.
Look how popular multi-start line generics are, it just seems odd that they're the exceptions rather than the rule. Sorry getting off my soapbox now.
I think A & D are my favorite starting lines, but with the new rules for leadership and an 18 Defend how could you not like A and a blanket +1 to his comrades Attack certainly doesn't hurt. D has Leap/Climb and Barrier a classic combination that I just don't get tired of and with Perplex after the push ( and he's got Barrier he WILL get pushed ) I'd need at least three going on my Blade Battalion theme team.
In fact he'd be a staple on all my scientist teams, emergency Barrier can save your backside when the post-digested food material hits the rotating bladed air ventilator.....scientifically speaking.
Don't get me wrong B&C are no slouches, it'd be worth far more than 20 points just to have someone who can ignore Shape-Change with a starting three damage to guard the rest of your troops from shape-shifting shenanigans. Not that I'd know anything about that "Cough".
I also appreciate that only C has reducers, it not only keeps the cost down, but helps give the "Brutes" a valuable place on the team.
As far as B goes, Running Shot with 3 Damage and 11 Attack ( who wouldn't run them with an officer ) for 25 points pushing onto RCE insures your opponent can't afford to ignore them while they go after bigger game.
Anytime I can keep my adversary shooting at a low point minion while I get my named forces into position is a good time for me......and when the 300 point tent-pole gets taken out with a shot in the back from an 25 point piece it just kinda makes my night.
A shout out to all those "Thugs" that have turned the Heroclix tide!

Great representation of this particular version of the character! Amazing job!
Mid-range attacker that picks up some good support powers on his 75 & 50 pts startling lines. I like how this guy is all on the dial, with the exception of the 1 click a turn healing.
Nice damage reducers mixed with the healing, steal energy and regen make this guys mystics TA even more hurtful.
So smart of playing the regen on his 2nd to last click.
