I have made the perfect version of the deck. The only flaw is a bad first hand of Shallow grave, book of moon, book of taiyou, a spell reproduction and a thunder dragon.
this is the real version of the close-to-perfect OTK.
Monsters (6)
Cyber Jar
Morphing Jar
Sangan
(3) Thunder Dragon
Spells (34)
(3) Book of Taiyou
(3) Book of Moon
(3) Shallow grave
(3) Reload
Card of Safe Return
(2) Level Limit Area B
(2) Serial Spell
Card Destruction
(3) Giant Trunade
(2) Upstart Goblin
Pot of Greed
Graceful Charity
Premature Burial
(3) Spell reproduction
(3) Dragged Down to the grave
(2) Feather Of the Phoenix
alright, lets get into the combos here...
Card of Safe Return is a staple... Play feather of the Phoenix, put a card on top of the deck, play shallow grave or premature with CoSR on the filed, and you just got a card back. easy.
Giant Trunade, level limit Area b and Dragged are there for back up, discarding, and in ther case of dragged, a little draw power.
Thunder Dragon is for deck thinning and discarding power.
Morphing jar is not needed, since it gets rid of cards in the hand, BUT its great at the beginning of the then-minute turn to cycle through your deck. use him late as a discard.
Reload is for those bad hands... which happen occasionaly.
Spell reporduction is your new best friend. use it three times every game, it helps.
Serial spell and Card Destruction is the finishing combo. If your opponent has more than twenty cards in hand (which is easy) do this and trake the win.
That is the only way to play the deck. No traps, if you cant activate them, whats the use? (This IS an FTK) Rock bombardment? WTF!
no, the best answer to this deck by far is dark baltar the terrible.
Im making this deck, and it is amazingly cheap. dragged downs dont help that much, but i run 3. its almost always a 2-3 turn kill for me because i choose to run traps.. 3 jar of greeds, and a reckless greed. i might add a rock bombardment later... haven't needed it yet
book of moons dont help as much as youd think. i mean shallow grave does it all. i recommend taking it down to 2 or even 1. its mostly just an answer to baltar for me
Yeah, but who sides those?! Look at the Top 8 at the recent SJC sideboards. Nothing against this type of deck. NOTHING but Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell by Jae.
People can list stuff that would help this deck as much as they want. IT's just fact that most players don't sideboard those cards, and that's the downfall they face.
By any chance, did you go to the SJC in Charlotte, and the Greensboro regionals? I was just curious, mainly because I dueled a deck at regionals that utilized the same strategy, and I saw the same guy at SJC.
If you are the person I'm thinking of, I honestly can't think of anything to change about your deck. Congrats for making a deck that is both effective and original. *thumbs up*
Still dont know why you claim this deck as your own. Whatever though if Brodie hadn't told you, you wouldn't have known it till SJC Pomona like everyone else next FTK I build no one is gonna see it til the SJC and watch out Indy cause the new one is on the way.
lots of people use curse of darkness. combo that with the other curse (same effect except for traps instead of spells) and its havoc. this deck might do good some of the time but no deck is perfect. every deck has a weakness to another deck. you might make a deck that "cannot" be beaten by the decks youve faced so far. but once someone duels you with a new strategy youre plan just blew up. i usually rune 2 curse of darkness in almsot all my decks, BECAUSE people run so many spell cards. most players fill their decks with spells and use like 7 traps. i fill my deck with traps and use about 9 spells. there is always that different kind of person to think about. ya know the ones that dont play with cookie cutters etc.
