I'm totally not going to read all of this thread first before getting a reply in...
Restricted makes players like me mad.
You know, the players who haven't bought any 2.0, have a huge collection of the older figures, all that. I still remember when WizKids said in one of their press statements, "figures will never become banned from tournament play."
Well, to this, I say BAH, but it doesn't matter anymore since I don't play the game anymore.
Wow. I stop by to look at painted minis and see if any one posted any cool terrain and look what is going on: the continuing disintegration of MK.
Look, just a tip, but if you gotta argue back and forth for 4 pages to figure out if something is a good idea or a bad idea, I say chances are it's not a good change, if for no other reason than the continued attrition of players who actually, finally quit. However, some of you guys have been dissatisfied for some time and are still letting WK kick you around and honestly, it's pathetic. Stop playing. The only thing companies understand is $. Too many people aren't willing to put their money where their mouth is and just end up complaining and complaining and complaining. The only way for WK to change is for people to quit, but if, like an abused spouse, you keep giving them one more chance, they are never gonna change. Take your money and walk. You may have spent a pile of cash over the years but nothing says you will have to keep doing it, and the sting of feeling cheated only abates after you have stopped being suckered. No one says you gotta be WK's bizatch but you.
I know alot of you won't like what I've said. **Shrugg** I wasted my time before the release of minions trying to keep people from quitting. Spare me the self-righteous indignation and do a little introspective contemplation and see if you don't agree with me.
Honestly what you're saying makes perfect sense. At least about the spending money issue. It's sad that it's come to this, but it has. It already had for a large group of players. I guess what it boils down to is that you can still be a player even if you're not a customer. It's limiting, but so is everything else going on right now. Speaking of limiting, try being a game club right now.
