I am staying...oh wait..I already posted...ok.....MY GIRLFRIEND IS STAYING....she loves the mechs, she loves rolling the dice, she loves measuring the tape...she's just lazy in learning the rules :) its her barbie on steroids...ok now she's telling me to do the laundry or she'll APM me for 12 with the davion havoc
1 more thing...Philippines has a growing player base :)
ive loved the battletech idea for more than 10 years and there is no way im going to quit.
here in the netherlands the player base is only growing. today alone we sparked the intrest of many people at a fantasy convention where we were playing demo games. (pics comming soon :)
my area had five venues, after years it dwindled down to two.there are some nights I might show up and be the only person there(besides BM). there were nights where I wasnt there but I feel confident that the new breed ,that falls in from time to time will carry us untill the old players and new players come together and once again return mechwarrior to the glory it once was.finally reclaiming the tables from the 40ksand dominating the venue
GLory to the Republic!!!!!!!!!
the ONLY real threat to my playing MW is as always been me finding time, and honestly with another Table top love in my gaming life, things are crowded, but I too will play these till they find them in the dust, perfectly preserved, and wonder what in the world were we doing back then!!
seriously I have no intentions of leaving this game and I do hope to be able to play for a long time to come with new stuff and new ideas for this universe, long live the AGE!!
I'm around. I still have some game left in me. Mech is currently at a slow point around me with my game club taking a bit of a hiatus. But we have some mech events scheduled and have been pulling in some more club members through Dreamblade. We'll get around to showing them how cool mechwarrior is soon enough. And we will certainly be trying solaris when it is released as well as ramping up for nationals this year.
My hobbies: working on my project truck, paintball, watching mixed martial arts, fighting/sparring on very amateur level, and playing MW
Situation: Too cold to work on truck or play paintball. I already have tickets to Caged Inferno 5 . . . and actually fighting usually leaves me with a headache.
MW is indoors and doesn't involve me getting hit in the face for several rounds. I think I'll keep MW as a hobby for a LONG LONG time! Though I may dabble in some local MMA stuff . . . tasting your own blood triggers something inside . . . it wakes something up that normally sleeps . . . kind of like playing RD!
I'm staying. I've been in it since Dark Age (and yes, Dereck Hasbani will rule the universe!(inside joke at my venue, but it is just fun to say)). Been reading all the threads talking about the doom, gloom and collapse of the Mechwarrior line, but until Mechwarrior gets put in the 'More Games' drop down section of the Wizkids Web site only then will I believe the nay-sayers, until then and afterwards I will still play.
