Since Minoru Kurita established a training academy to share the techniques of Clan Nova Cat and House Kurita. Next question. Consult your Loremaster for further inquiries to spare yourself any embarrassment.
I knew I had a reason for coming in here, that and watching Wolf vs Falcon is always a great battle.
CJF pure of course, so I was thinking of having a long tom on each side, then have 2 elementals go down opposite sides, with each supported by a slyph, for rear hunting. Malvina will just DFA where needed, by hugging cover. By the way what does MDFA mean?

Merciless DFA, the upgraded CJF version.
As for armies, it'll probably get smoked on a 3x3 board. The LTs can't be defended and can't reliably pog when they get rushed and they will get rushed. BR isn't bad (I mean, it is BR) but she's always seemed to attract all sorts of attention and even one good roll has this annoying tendency to exterminate her good stats.

Sylphs can't make formations, BTW. :)
I concur.
Funny, when I saw this post, I immediately thought..."Highdancer, if you would be so kind...*bows*"
Black Rose can be a serious threat, but carries the stigma of infamy that attracts a serious amount of attention. She can be a very viable linchpin, but requires the sort of support that using two Longtoms cannot deliver.
I faced her in the very battle that delivered this bondcord to my wrist, and between the vast infantry swarm and Dust Storm, I was toast.
However, one cannot rely on that specific turn of events to work every time.
I would suggest a great variety of fast basers. Two Sylph BA are a great idea, as you have provided, but so are Trackbikes and :^^^: Clan Battle Armor. Should you so desire, a heavy tank of some sort can create anough of a flanking threat, especially when supported by a formation of proper infantry. The Carnivore is great, as it has no minimum range, costs only 76 points. The above mentioned CBA are also great, cost 19 points, and carry Anti-Personnel to scrapnel the tank free of basers.
In the end, it comes down to play style. Try what you feel comfortable with. It *is* only a game, and if one combination fails you, try another. Even a fall will teach you something, and make you a better Warrior in the end.
It is a 76 point Assault Tank with a 0-12" range, 360 arc, and 4 click Armor Piercing damage. It starts off with Reactive to nerf minor artillery damage and gains IT down the dial.
I know, I was just going to go rear hunting with them.so what should I do, Because I really want to use my BR.
BR is what she is. So you have an anti-mech beatstick. Supporting her requires stuff that'll cover for her abysmal anti-infantry abilities and buy her time to do her voodoo.
This is not a well-tested build or anything like that.
BR/Hazen
MHI APC
-2x TTL
Cizin
3x Saxon
-EBA
-AnP CBA
-Thunderbird
Sylph
The MHI infiltrates and makes with the first turn pogs. The Cizin formations with the Saxons and advances upfield with BR tailing. The infantry gives you Armor Piercing, Anti-Personnel and Pulse to play with. The Sylph is Sylphy.
"Black Rose" Shrike
+ Malvina Hazen
+ Electronic Camoflage
Carnivore Assault Tank
Clan Battle Armor (19 point variant)(x3)
Sylph Battle Armor (x2)
MHI Amphibious APC (Wolf Hunter...unfamiliar with the cost of CJF version...44 points)
+ TTL (x2)....600
I realize that you may not possess all of the components of this force, but it utilizes an all-round-threat composition. The Clan Battle move witht he Carnivor in formation. Their Anti-Personnel should be able to keep the tank clear. By keeping the Armor in base contact with each other in that formation, they can also break away to deal with other threats. The tank itself will cripple or otherwise threaten any size of target, especially since it has a 360 arc and no minimum range.
The APC has Recon, maximizing otherwise non-existent orders. Thsi will allow you to get the Towed Thundes up quickly.
Sylphs do as they are made for: harrass and base. The 2-click Pulse is nothing to sneeze at either, especially when Scoot-n-Shoot from VTOL movement comes into play.
The twin Thunders will do nicely to force targets into MDFA range, especially when the tank/BA combo forces their (the opponent's)hand.
Just my 2 cents. BR is a nice mech but as far as being the main beatstick, I would vote no. If your Opp. has arty himself or a fast cheap mech then she will draw all the attn. I have beaten her down, never killed her outright. She needs another mech to help her out I dont think she can be the only mech in your army, forgive the pun, a Wingman.
Again forgive me: Smsluck13. I find it in bad taste that an I.S. Warrior come into a Clan hall and try and goat 2 Clan Warriors into a battle with each other so that you may watch it. Clan Trials and battles are not some sort of WWE match intended to amuse you. If you wish to see Clan mechs on the BattleField I am sure that Tirrex_Falcon or myself will meet you on the Field of Battle to show you firsthand what it looks like.

The purpose behind the discussion was to employ Black Rose in such a manner. I have faced her three times, myself, and always as a solo. It was only when she had proper support that I saw defeat (holds up wrist to show bondcord).

I would add this: Not all clan Warriors are of Clan origin.
Some come of their own will and Trial for inclusion. Others are taken through battle. Consider your Draconis Combine compatriot a possible resource instead of a thorn.
Battle will come when it comes. Whoever. Whenever. When the time comes, if he is worthy, show him enlightenment through firepower and bondsmanship.
...and now, back to our regularly scheduled Black Rose discussion...
GO DIERACHE!!! ; ) So what mech should you suggest? Oh, and my math must suck then Geez.
From what I have seen, the Vixen can be treacherous, especially with the Pulse Gear. The Pheonix Hawk I is also a deady foe, and requires only a decent generic pilot to be effective. It possesses the PPC Capacitor as standard equipment.
all in all, it still comes down to your play style.
I am a multiple-mech man, myself, and employ infantry or artillery to support.
