I'll go with Red Oak, just because of how beautiful they are, the fact that a few dominate the state park I volunteered and then worked at for years, and that I have fond memories of leaning up against one with a certain fine person long ago as we enjoyed nature.

Japanese maples because they're mind-blowingly pretty in the fall.

I don't know if it is my favorite, but, I had a mulberry tree in my drive way when I was a kid. The berries would always create a mess. When my family moved, we moved to Mulberry Street, coincidence, I think not. Plus, Dr. Sues first kids book was "And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street".

Fine, if that doesn't suit you, what about just an apple tree, cuz apples are freaking delicious?
