Green Goblin's a sweet piece. I'd have preferred a "classic" Goblin to the Ultimate version, but there's a rumor there may be another GG in Ultimates, and since they've already done that version, maybe it'll be the good old purple sock on his head Goblin.
Agreed, Ock is probably the most playable Spider-Man villain. And he should be formidible. I like him a lot. The only downside to him is he gets played so often, it's a little boring.
I was beginning to get a little concerned with the guys I was going up against until I realized that you've already used up all but 19 points of your 300 on those three guys. You may be able to slip in a Robin or Boom-Boom or something, but that's it. I notice you're offline, so since you've pretty much only got one more slot open (or 2, maybe 3 generics), I'll just post the rest of my team now.
62 Green Goblin U
80 Ultrahumanite U
24 Vulture V
32 Avalanche V
66 Killer Croc E
36 Silver Samurai E
300 points even.
It hasn't come up in any of our games so far, and since there's a good chance it might in this one, I just wanted to be sure you were familiar with the new juiced-up Indyclix version of Pulse Wave. If not, we should clear it up before the game starts rather than run into it during.
1. Pulse Wave now "ignores super-powers or team abilities". So it can punch through even Impervious or Invulnerability, and you can't avoid it with Super Senses or Stealth (or Bat Ally since it specifically mentions Team Abilities).
2. If there's only 1 figure within the Pulse Waver's halved range, the Pulse Waver can do his full damage to that one figure rather than having his damage reduced to 1.
My Initiative Roll is an 8
Objects roll is a 3.
The first one's the big one, of course. It's a serious upgrade to the power. It still only does 1 damage, and will hit everyone in range, friend or foe, so it can be a mixed blessing, but it's still a pretty nasty power. You understand why I wanted to be sure you knew how it worked beforehand.
The Ultrahumanite's plan for world domination was going smoothly. This rooftop was perfectly situated for his wave amplifier, which would boost his powers to unheard of levels. Once that was done, there would be no stopping him.
Of course, he considered the likelihood that some of those meddlesome "superheroes" would get wind of his plan and interfere, be it the JLA or the Avengers or Power Pack. It happened every time. So he was prepared with his own superteam to hold them off long enough for his diabolical plan to reach fruition.
Avalanche, borrowed from the Brotherhood. Silver Samurai's blade was up for hire. And the Green Goblin's cunning and Killer Croc's savagery could be channeled to his purposes nicely. And as for the Vulture, he was the Goblin's cellmate and insisted that he could help if the Ultrahumanite brought him along too, so why not. An aerial combatant is a useful thing.
Now it would just be a few more minutes. If he could get this wave amplifier booted up, ultimate power would be his!
"Yo boss," Killer Croc said. "Here they come! It's Batman! He's mine!"
The heroes appeared on the opposite roof.
"And Iron Man," Vulture oserved.
"And Colossus," Avalanche added.
"Who's the woman in the trenchcoat?" Vulture asked.
"Some cop," Croc said. "I can smell 'em"
"Charming," the Goblin said.
"Batman, Iron Man, Colossus, and some cop?" Ultrahumanite asked. "That's it? I think I'm insulted. Well, they shall regret underestimating me when world domination is mine! To battle! HAHAHAHAHAA!"
Behind his back, Avalanche pointed at his head and made little circles with his finger in the universal "he's crazy" gesture.
Silver Samurai responded with a barely perceptible nod.
The villains advanced to the edge of the roof, prepared for a fight.
