Not every piece will be staple for a 300 point tourney team and I am just fine with that. I will concede that Sinister will see little play on ultra-competitive teams and that is fine as well. What I am excited about is the outwit with regen. I dont recall seeing that combo till now and like the varity it offers. Now Sinister can still effect the board even while taking the time to regen. That OW could also be the key factor in him having time to make that regen roll.
BenG.
Mr. Sinister would go GREAT with Firelord. After all, the cheese goes great with the whine!
Sheesh people it seems not many people here can even play the game and they want ALL figures to have 17 DV with Imp, 11 clicks of life, 12 attack, stealth or HSS or something that guarantees them a win.
If you don't want this figure, don't get it. If you do get it, don't keep it. Simple as that. the trading forum is JUST below the rest of the forums and I'm sure someone there would be happy to take it off your hands come release time.
Mr Sinister is hella cool!!!
And its funny that you should say that Ghost Rider, because I do think he should have stealth(he worked from the shadows) and impervious(he was hard to hurt). I don't have a problem with his range or starting attack. Sinister never really was much of a fighter. I would be interested to know where on his dial the ouwit and regen are though.
And for the love of Pete, why do you people keep saying "mind controlled cyclops"? It was HAVOK, HAVOK who fell in love with Madelyne, and fell under the spell of the Goblin Queen, so all you modders stand by to mod a pulsewaver into the younger Summers brother.
(Goblin Queen + moloid army = hella fun)
Chuck Norris is the only person who can simultaneously hold and fire FIVE Uzis: One in each hand, one in each foot, and the 5th one he roundhouse-kicks into the air, so that it sprays bullets.
I personally am liking the trend toward shorter range figures.
You really have to plan ahead how to use them and understand the risks involved. This requires a strategy gut-check. Plus it helps restore balance between the rangers and grounders.
Thor better have at least a 10 range...or else!

Wine is only good with cheese, not Heroclix.
I'm not sure about the extent of Sinister's powers, but I know he put blocks on Cyclops' power, and when Cyke worked past them, his eyeblast seemed to completely atomize Sinister. Not sure how he came back. I suppose he's a clone or whatever.
I'm glad to see some more X-Men villains show up. Are the Marauders far behind?
The sculpt is ok. Sinister is not a front-line attacker, so the 9 attack and the support powers are definitely right up his alley.

It's nice to finally get Mr. S., but i still haven't figured out on what kind of team you would like to put him. In smaller point games he probably won't pull his own weight, since his offensive capabilities are a bit limited, especially when he's based by an opposing figure. At least he has the staying power to stick around in higher point games, unlike many other mutants that max out around 6 clicks of life.
Hm. How about that (slightly themed):
U Mr. Sinister 106
R Jean Grey 31 aka Madelyne Prior
E Cyclops 68 (maybe modded to Havok)
E 'Dark' Beast 59 (isn't that what the 'D' on his base stands for?)
R Mystique 34
E Archangel 53
E Sabretooth 51
E Gambit 44
V Avalanche 32
R Destiny 20
