You may only play a given character once. After that you can't play them again.

NO REV's
NO Figs from different sets
NO Alternate names and/or minor sculpt adjustments
NO Duplicate pogs

Players will fill out a form each week (to be kept by me). If you bring a figure twice it will be pulled from your team, with no substitution!

June 28- 300pt Restricted

I presume this means:

1. Somebody showed up.
2. Somebody actually elected to use the card.

So, does somebody, or anybody, want to comment on the "very interesting scenario"?

Also, regarding the text message sent out by Jeff on the topic of NBC cancelling Heroes, I am not surprised. Remember I talked about telling my wife how I expected the show to end after they "saved the cheerleader, saved the world"? After all, after you save the world, what else can you do to top that???!!!! I don't think the writers/producers thought beyond that spectacular story line. As I stated earlier, I frankly think that the network was challenging the viewers to submit their ideas on how the final episode would end because they really had NO clue how to do it. They were playing it like a cliff-hanger, but I am fully expecting the finale to be the worst finale to ever air since networks started planning series finales. Who knows, maybe NBC will come out with AFTER-Heroes (anyone else remember AFTER-M.A.S.H.??) Oh, well, one less show to TiVo.

So, just to clarify . . .

If I play ANY Spiderman in Week 1, then Peter Parker, Symbiote, Scarlet Spider, and every REV from every other set are excluded. (TheRE are probably others I am not recalling). What about Spiderman 2099? I think you killed off 20+ figs in one move. Same thing for Hulk. This should be interesting for those with shallow collections. MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Went to my 2nd tourney since WWLA.

Ran:

Supes Robot
Mr. Mind + Protected
Red Ghost + Sidekick (Hulk2099)

I went 1-2, lost to the eventual winner (jakgotbak) who ran Supes Robot, V Steel, and Dark Knight Con Exclusive 2 protecteds, ICwOs.

Learned this: Hulk is good but gets punked easily if hit hard and you forget to use Vault when you do hit (he only hit like 3 times last night, poor dice or high D's) and use your giant status for adjacency. First time I've ever used a giant....it's easy to forget. Mr. Mind NEEDS Mental Shields. Couldn't mind control any of Jakgotbaks guys when it counted.

Anyway, some subtle hints in case you guys want to run those 2 or others.

Highlight of the night: In the final round, I lost, Red Ghost was last man standing versus 2 Trip Girls on Flurry and 2 R Wildcats with Flurry. Made 5 Shape Change/Super Senses rolls in a row to not be KO'd and give me survivor points!

That's what I thought , too. RED GHOST?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!!?!??!!?


EDIT: Forgot to mention that I received the Ray Palmer LE for "The Award That Should Not Be Spoke Of" for rolling horribly all tourney. So it wasn't all for naught!

That doesn't surprise me at all! Red Ghost is way better than folks think he is. Go Terry Bradshaw!!!
The last two sets came out with "hard-to-hit" figs that are REALLY ANNOYING!!!

OK, lets test the waters on this...Not being difficult just trying to understand correctly (as allways). Here are a couple of examples that I would like clarified:
1)Jean Grey-Infinity Challange, Jean Grey-Danger Room and Pheonix-Armor Wars and Dark Pheonix-AW are all the same person. So only one copy of her once right? Also Marvel-Girl-Ultimates is the "same person different Universe", but I figure she is close enough to be used only once.
2) Spider-Man-any set (Peter Parker), Venom- Sin or CM (Eddie Brock), Scarlet Spider-Sin (Ben Reiley), Spider-Man 2099-FF (Miguel O'Hara) and Symbiote-Sin (Unoccupied Alien Suit-The One) are ALL DIFFERENT PEOPLE!!! Should not count as repeats.
3) Wonder Woman-CJ, Wonder Woman-Icons and Wonder Woman-Legacy KC are all the same person. Wonder Woman-Origin (NGN fig), Wonder Woman-Legacy (JSA) and Queen Hypolita are the same peron. Should be able to use Icons one week and NGN fig the next as they aren't the same chick.
4) Green Lanten-CJ (Jon Stewart), Green Lantern-Unleashed (Hal Jordan), Green Lantern-CD (Kyle Rayner) and Green Lantern-Origin (Alan Scott) are ALL DIFFERENT PEOPLE!!! KC GL is Alan Scott by the way!
5) Capt. Britan-Ultimates (Brian Braddock) and Capt. Britian-AW (Betsy Braddock) are not the same person.
Now I realise that the Wonder Woman and Capt. Brit thing probabally wont come up (though you never know what Jack will bring!?!) But the GL and Spider-Man thing MUST BE ADDRESSED! Of course there are more That are obvious (Flash-HT and Flash-Icons) and some that I won't go there (Earth-2 Bat-Man (Origin) and Earth-1 Bat-Man (all others)) but lets pick our battles shall we?

I ok I need to speak my peice on this one.
Give Jeff a break here everyone that plays on Thur night has more then enough peices to play 4 completely different teams for a month! If you play spiderman dont play another of anything even close, same with green lantern. Jesus how many peices have been made, if you cant come up with 4 completely different teams then what are you doing playing clixs.
Jeff set the rules very clearly. I think I know where he is going with this. We are seeing way too many of the same figs week in and week out. He just wants you to bring things you dont normally bring.

So get off your butt, dust off some figs you have never used and get clixin!

as for the Month of june rules I think alternate versions count as the same character.

That is correct sir! Oracle and Bat-Girl-Babs is the same person.
Although it looks like you wont be able to use Bat-Girl-Cassandra Cain either!
A lot of the "thats the same name and you cant use it" figs are no problem for me. I have at least one copy of every GL and the Corps set (who all have different names).
I will probabally only use One Spider-Man for that month.
I would like to use Owlman one week and Bat-Man another week. Hopefully the Whoclix link I provided clears this up!
It sounds like I am being critical (you are allowed your opinion of course) as the Internet doesn't transmit feelings/emotions. I wasn't ranting with the above post, just looking for clarifications thats all.
