So if you're resigning from the other Leagues because you can't write anymore, does this mean this League is pretty much kaput?

I was thinking that, even though I'm not a great writer for an overall storyline tying all of our teams together, that I would try and keep this league going.

Anyone want to continue with me as Commish? The rules will be the same and the story posting in our games will continue with smaller story submissions?

I've been trying to convince TAK to at least stay with this League and didn't want to answer/contact you until things were "final" with him. If, however, he's completely shot on it, now that my access is getting better, I could help you...though, like you, no way I could do a solo routine due to schedule.

If people are worried about the story posting aspect of it, as I've had a few voice concerns to me, we can just let those that wish to story post go ahead and do so.

I wanted to play in this league with pure theme teams in a smaller less competitive environment and I feel that we have achieved that. I would really hate to see it go to waste.

I wanna keep this league moving forward. Let's keep playing out our games this round and see what happens?

I'd also like to keep it on a schedule and not just let teams finish whenever they finish and start games after that. It tends to make people lax and forget about this league. Keeping a schedule keeps people on track and not drift away.

I agree and had been imploring TAK to keep a strict deadline, but with the league in flux I'm afraid this round will be extended just a bit to allow for us to find our footing again.

Hopefully folks will at least respond and we can keep 12 teams. I'll see if anyone wants to jump in and join the league and take up TAK's team. I can't see that there would be NO one that would want to run his squad.

I admit, with the state of things in Flux for this League, I had completely missed that games were going. Mea culpa.

I will like this to continue but not TAK to be replace. Just keep the League alive and keep his place for his return someday.

Gentlemen, I'm sorry for not doing this in person when I dropped the other Leagues a while back. I wasn't feeling like myself. Truth be told, I still don't, but I feel better. My original intent was to drop my own League as well because the well was dry, among other things.

Then, during all this, (and the flux with that was due to meds as Rokk or zxyba would be able to tell you. Carlos too, if he dropped me a line more often hint, hint) some personal stuff happened that only amplified it. In the span of 24 hours, my wifetold me before she went to bed she was addicted to one of MY pain meds, Vicidin (which, incidently is the second time she's gotten hooked on it. The first time was when she was taking it for herself. This is also the reason why I won't take anything stronger, Joe. I'm afraid MY OWN ADVOCATE will pinch them (I know how you like those British turns of phrases)

When she got up to go to work, she informed me, that yes, the reason she was late coming home (she works 2nd shift) was that she was at the casino (she didn't make home until almost 1:00 and I said in a joking voice, "Did you go to the casino, or what?" and she said "No, really rough day at work.") by herself. See, she and her friend had went about a month before this (this being around the 5th) and she had won about $700.00. Sweet as long as you have someone there to say "Stop, you are up, let's leave." She went 3 more times by herself, not winning anything and starting to spend more that she could afford to lose and lying about it. So I said would give money during the week, and hold on to all of our debit cards and such, and if she went, she could go with Tracy.

Then, 2 hours later, my children come home (because trouble, like celebrity deaths, comes in three) argueing, with my son telling Sophie want she should have done and her saying she did do it. My daughter told my one of the things no father wants to hear (even less if she is 11, not that it would be better if she was older, ah, you know what I mean). 2 boys at school had touched her breasts and told her to "Suck it, #####!" not once, but a total of 9 times over a three week period. When I asked he why she didn't say anything sooner, she said she was embarrassed. And she was afraid she would get in trouble for kicking the boys when they were doing this to here after chasing down like a gazelle on the playground. They would also do it when the teacher turned her back in class, which burns me the most. My daughter is not the most well liked girl, so if one of her other classmates saw this, they thought "Ha, Ha, Sophie!" instead of "If that was me and some other girl saw me, I would want that girl to say something". What did these little hooligins get for touching my sweet girl on 9 seperate occassions (which they also confessed to, so it's not like Sophie making it up)? A week suspension and were to "now they are on our radar". He also to Sophie that he wants her to feel 100% safe, which she thought meant they would come back to an inhouse suspension for the rest of the year, everything back to normal.


My reaction? I was very calm with my daughter when she first told me, telling she had nothing to be embarassed about.And that she would get into 0 trouble for defending herself, and if they tried, they would be in trouble from her daddy (which helped calm he down). She promised from now own, if another classmate touched her and there where other people around, she would yell "Rape!" at the top of her lungs. She also promised that if anyone started chasing her again, she would run right for an adult. And if it was an adult who touched her (my wife's father was her abuser, after all, and this was a good way to warn Sophie about adults touching you without saying Grandpa was a perv, watch out for him!), to tell Daddy or Mommy. I tried to get the principal to do the easist thing: suspend the kids for the rest of the year. No kids in the buiding, no chance of a 10th time. Or at least a longer sentence. But all the seperate times were treated as one first offence. Why haven't I just pressed charges through juvie? Sophie doesn't want to. My wife agrees with the principal, she went in yesterday and found out what was happening, saying he would rather deal with me that my irrational husband. I was calm and ration when I told the prinipal there would be Hell to pay if there was a 10th time, and if was escalated in severity, there would be some Hades as well. My wife and I had a huge argument deciding what to do (which is where the irrational came from) and while I threatened divorce, it's still one of those not forgive or forget moments if there is a 10th time with them being there. I simply could not look Sophie in the eye and tell her "I'm sorry this happened to you, but I did everything I could" when I haven't even scratched the surface of what I could do, especially if I had a mate who didn't think, deep down, I was a complete moron because I had 2 strokes.


So it's a good thing I'm out of Leagues, I'm sure I would get into a needless argument over nothing. But I feel my strength starting to return, and if you'll have me, I'd like to return. To be honest, zyxba and I didn't send in a team for this round, but we can knock out agame pretty easily during the week. If you say no, I completely understand. If you say yes, thank you, and remember, I'm always open to ideas. Next game, iceman, will be your scenerio and yes just 3 weeks long. I will more on top of posting games in one day, then going back and storyposting.
