I am very persuasive. I convinced both neutrals the day before I died that I was a great guy to listen to.
I probably could have done it again, and without all the childish threatening and name-calling too.
I'm good with the persuasion...between this and Sequels That Suck, I couldn't believe I got into the same situation in two different games at the same time.
I FULLY believed in my argument, Ice. There was no guarantee you had a RB left. And since I successfully copied get_1, I assumed you lied about using Busdrive.
I wasn't obfuscating. I honestly believed it.
Why would I waste powers blindly?
You know me better than that. Why would I be throwing away a RB that early in the game?
When I came back into the game the day had opened and closed and opened before I found out I was Rezzed.
I busdrove myself and HandC. I honestly thought I Busdrove myself and Get_1. I made a last second change (ask Mags) to HandC. It protected me from death both ways.
That being said. My plan was to save myself that night, then lynch a Mafia, then use my RB.
The town had a Guide (CharlesX) and a Roleblock (Iceman425).
IF you would have voted with the town, I COULD GUARANTEE YOU SAFE PASSAGE!! GUARANTEE!!!
Ask HandC and DF now, and they'll tell you that to be completely true.
You bought into lies and now you're trying to act like you feel bad about it, but you got your win. Please don't still reiterate lies and say my logic was flawed though, because you are out and out wrong.
Maybe you missed the fact that this was my second game ever, but I didn't even know what a guide was, I had to ask when it came up. I didn't know what you could or could not guarantee me. Your words were just that to me Iceman, words. The Mafia could spite kill me, the town could not. I went with the sure shot.
How could I KNOW for sure that you had a RB, and weren't just trying to trick me to vote with the town, only to end up spite killed?
I couldn't.
I am not saying your logic is flawed and I am not reiterating any lies. I am giving you my position, accept it for what it is if you want. If you don't, then don't, you're a grown man, do whatever you please.
And I'm not trying to act like I feel bad. I did feel bad because my play resulted in others feeling bad, and I like for everyone to have a good time.
But you know what, now I see that that could not be avoided. Had I voted with the town, and lived, then the mafia would be hating me too, so whatever. Now I see that it's impossible to not end up with people feeling like their butts are sore, when they're in a losing position in these types of games. And I can't say I blame you for feeling this way these games take a lot of time and energy and we invest ourselves in them so I understand why you're upset about it. I just wish you'd be a little more understanding of a new player making mistakes or being manipulated or whatever the heck you want to call it. I wasn't out to screw you for the sake of screwing you, I was trying to guarantee a win for myself without getting killed.

Part of Ice's role is that he wasn't told what his win condition was. He was with the town, which i think he may have assumed, but he didn't know that for sure.
Hey man, check the other thread, I posted over there. You made a move and got a win. That is what you are trying to do ultimately here. No skin off my back, really.
I just felt like I was being called an out and out liar. Then even after the game was done it was still being said.
You're right that I did say everyone was lying during the game, I cannot deny that. I was speaking tongue in cheek, obviously I understood some people could be telling the truth.
In retrospect, I can see you didn't lie, I just couldn't be sure you of that during the game. Heck I could not be sure anyone was telling me the truth. I had to assume people were lying to me to try to get the win, so I went with what I thought was the most safe bet and sided with the mafia.
Was I wrong? Yes twice I was wrong, I could have sided with you guys and you could have RB'd and I could have won with the town. I understand that but I could not be sure of it during the game. I could have also waited for CharlesX to use his Day kill, which I did not realize he had, but since MSU was already getting very upset, and you posted you we're quitting, I was already feeling bad, so at that point, it was easy for me to get pushed into hammering the vote out, which is exactly what happened.

Seems they had it down to a short list of people. Their confidence was all an act.
No it wasn't, on one of the nights after wade died when you were "targetting Trufffle" we switch me for her. We were reasonably sure you were the SKer.
I busdrove myself and HandC. I honestly thought I Busdrove myself and Get_1. I made a last second change (ask Mags) to HandC. It protected me from death both ways.
This was the kicker right here. We just could not see how you were telling the truth about the busdrive when we targeted get for a kill.
And I'm not trying to act like I feel bad. I did feel bad because my play resulted in others feeling bad, and I like for everyone to have a good time.

I can't speak for everyone, but I don't think people would hate you either way you went. Inevitably someone was not going to like the play you made and the might see it as the wrong one to make but they wouldn't hate you over it. Would someone have held a grudge and spite killed you over it in another game? Maybe, but I see that as all part of the fun of playing mafia. The guys and gals who play here are a great group who wouldn't hate someone over a game. Tempers will flare and discussions will get heated but everyone realizes its a game sooner or later (unless there are some outstanding grudges from before my time).
Can you tell me which ones are yours? I probably wouldn't have know there was a ghost writer unless someone else in the mafia (I think Darq) caught it.
