So, I just submitted my brother's resume for the interim pastor position for my church, because my pastor resigned yesterday. If this works, I will be working with my brother, which could be fun. but could be very frustrating, but I like him good enough =P
We just had big thunderstorms, with strong winds, hail, and tons of rain. About 15 minutes after they passed by, a policeman showed up at my door saying that they received a hang-up 911 call from my house. I had been home alone all afternoon, so no kids did it, and he was very nice, taking my name and birthdate.
Anyone know if bad phone connections could generate a 911 call? I know no one actually dialed it. I told someone afterwards that maybe they were just trying to get me out to identify me or something. I'm not actually a criminal, even though some of my music nominations should actually be a crime. But not aware of any traditional infractions!
COLUMBIA, SC (AP) -
Miss South Carolina is telling people a pretty big secret. She lost 110 pounds before taking the beauty pageant crown.
Miss Capital City Bree Boyce won the crown Saturday. The 22-year-old from Florence will compete for the Miss America title in Las Vegas in January.
Boyce has done several interviews holding up the size 18 pair of jeans she used to wear, saying she wants to inspire people to lose weight. She is especially proud that she won a preliminary swimsuit competition.
...just another heartwarming story to help let those in size 18 jeans to feel bad about themselves. Beauty is always so much more beautiful when it's presented in a size 2- absolutely ridiculous! Seriously, how can someone not realize this before they send this story out?!
