Scorpions live in Oklahoma? Thanks for the info. I'm now never going there. I'll stay here in my cool, scorpion-less Canadian climate, thank you very much.
Sorry but arachnids disturb me greatly.
I'm actually kinda surprised to hear they live in Oklahoma. I thought that they preferred the more arid climates in the US, like southern Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California and Nevada. I woulda guessed Oklahoma is a bit too far north.
As for something to kill it with, might I suggest a sledgehammer or some other sort of massive destruction-causing tool to turn that creepy little bastard into paste?
Arizona and the like have the big, harmless spot-them-from-a-mile-away scorpions. We have the tiny actually problematic scorpions.
COMMANDERCOOL QUESTION OF THE MOMENT: Which of the three original Pokemon starters do you pick when you're in a situation where you're called upon to do that?
For those sad humans who don't know the original Pokemon starter Pokemon from memory, here's a refresher:
I hate bugs... HATE them... There was a brown recluse in my bedroom yesterday... Seriously? A brown recluse?! Lame. It's one of the nastiest spiders in north america, and I get to sleep with one.
My office is weirdly infested with spiders that I've had inconclusively identified as brown recluses. And by infested I mean "I see one every two weeks". Still, that's a lot of possible brown reclusi. I've been scooping them up in plastic cups (veeeery carefully) and tossing them outside, but I suspect that they don't deserve it.

I always pick Bulbasaur, partly because Venusaur looks cooler than Charizard or Blastoise and partly because I like a challenge.
This confuses me. Bulbasaur is considered easy play because the first two gym leaders are weak against him. Charmander is considered the hardest because he's weak against both of the first two. Squirtle only has trouble against Misty.
Anyway, I prefer choosing Charmander because he's so cute, and I think he is really cool looking as Charizard. Blastoise looks dumb, and I think Venusaur is fairly ugly.
Who do you pick for Silver/Gold?
For me, I tend to favor Chikorita, mainly because Meganium is so cute, but there's something about Typhlosion that I love.

Oklahoma sucks...
I say you move...like, tonight.
If you absolutely have to stay, may I suggest getting one of these? Preferably sooner than later. And carry this around with you at all times. And surround your house with these.
The Ever Growing Trickster and Pied Piper KO List!
U Ganthet, Labcoat Beast, Cap and Bucky
Not removing this until we get Clock King and The Rose-01/23/11
Come on, NECA-Marvel Horror Theme Set 2011!
I, on the other hand, have a shirt but have never had occasion to wear it.
I, meanwhile, don't have a shirt and am perfectly fine with this.

Bulbasaur is the hardest to play because Venusaur is the worst final form. Poison+Grass is one of the weakest type combinations in the game because of the broad variety of weaknesses and the fact that poison attacks tend not to benefit as much from same-type attack bonus. It's true that Bulbasaur is good against the first two gym leaders, but as long as you set up your early-game team carefully it should be easy to beat them without even needing to use your starter. When it comes to mid and late game time Blastoise and Charizard are both much more solid additions to your team, which to me seems like more than enough of a tradeoff for the boost early in the game that you get with Bulbasaur.
In generation two I'm not partial to any of the starters, but I picked Totodile both times I played it (silver and heartgold) because it's not quite as dumb looking as the other two.

This October it'll be 5 years since I was bit by a brown recluse and almost died. 7 weeks of hospitals and rehab clinics. Still got the scar on my elbow to show for it.

In Ulthar, no man may kill a cat. In Utah, no man may marry a cat. These rules were made because of the ramifications of them happening before.

I've seen two my entire life (that I can recall). I don't mess around with them and kill them immediately. I feel for you. I did research on the brwon recluse, and that spider is nasty. In my opinion, it trumps the black widow.

I usually go fire as there tend to be less fire types then grass or water. Though black and white I went water...it was a freaking otter!
Well, I didn't lose to anybody else, and beat Ben Chung who used the same team as Dan. I also beat one of the other top 16, and missed the finals by 6 points.
