I think Elixir has control over both aspects of his power now - he just doesn't like to use the life-draining side. I can see him having steal energy and support at the same time, and that would actually be perfect character-wise because he'd have to decide which one to use.
I wasn't familiar with Elixer, so I just read his bio on Wikipedia. First, his keywords are going to allow him to play on many teams. Will he have the Reavers keyword? I think he could, but it doesn't sound as though he had his powers when with the Reavers, so that might be odd.
But if his figure represents his most powerful version, I could see some high level Incap/Steal Energy powers (similar to what I hope Rogue has), Support and amped up Regen. It should be a great figure.
Wolverine defeated Steve Rogers, which is a good comparison to Slade as far as physical and strategic ability.
Not really-- strategically, maybe, but Slade has super strength and a healing factor. He can leap several stories, kick down 2-in solid steel doors, etc. He also has super-human reflexes as well. He is closer to Spider-Man than Cap in physical abilities.

This has all been discussed before, however. Cap has been shown doing most of those things, including dead-leaping a two-story building, shoulder charging through a steel-reinforced door (while severely injured), moving fast enough to not be picked up by high-motion security cameras, and the bullet-blocking thing he does with the shield is because he can "see faster than other people can." The only thing that's really different between the two of them from a physical standpoint is Slade's healing factor.
And Terman8er, that was kinda my point. Using non-canonical crossovers as a basis to determine the ability-levels of the characters featured in them is not the greatest idea. That would mean that Venom is capable of fighting Superman to a standstill.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Nope, he has to turn into the other form to use the death touch, he can't do it while in golden form.
Last time he needed to use it was against Wither in Necrosha, he turned to black and since then he was strugling to revert to golden form, wich was the perfect excuse to have many x-characters killed and mutilated during Second Coming without a healer available as he wasn't able to use the healing powers in black form. This is why I'm putting him on the same category than Emma as both have 2 forms with 2 different power sets.

Don't use wikipedia for that, use comicvine.com IMO is the best comic database on the internet. You can find more detailed bios and every comic book here.

You're right. Comic Vine is the best. I was just in a hurry as I was making pancakes for my kiddo and just wanted a quick overview of the background/powers of the character.
I still don't understand that if Wizkids wanted to keep this set list underwraps until they released the previews, how did they drop the ball so badly. Don't get me wrong I love seeing the list, but come on.
Well, then it turns out they didn't want to keep the set list under wraps after all. Maybe we presume too much that they have the same marketing plan for every set. Mark Tuttle was known for wanting to keep everything under wraps until release day, but even under his regime, they did preview boosters and what not.
The thing is, with Deathstroke and Slade, you don't need to look at common opponents, w/L, who they have beaten or any of that.
Why?
Because they fought. New Teen Titans / X-Men crossover in the 80s.
And Deathstroke beat Logan's ###.
It was awesome.
Slade>Logan
Not from what i remember he didn't. I'll have to see if i can find the issue. And even so, like i already said, for the most part Wolverine nowadays is written far more powerful than he was originally and in the 80's.
