Is there any way to get this set without playing in a tournament? I can't make it out of town anymore to the place I used to go to for a venue. Its too far away now.

If it's anything like FI and WOL, you'll have to wait a year or so for WK to remove the ban on selling the boosters for anything other that tourney play or go on auction sites now looking for a brick of each wave.

If you're looking to get the set soon, then I'd hit up auction sites in October when the prices begin to fall.

Buying boosters, bricks, or cases? No. Not legitimately.

Buying singles? Players will be putting their unwanteds and extras on Ebay or the trade forums here, so check those out.

Same as it always is for this sort of thing.

Might I suggest the buy/sell/trade section of this very site?

eBay has bricks of Wave 1 for $100 and Wave 2 for $150. There's also a metric ton of singles, and the Wave 1 singles prices are coming down pretty quick.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I was mainly asking about when they'd be made to order and sell at my comic shop that does not do tournaments.

Based on War of Light, roughly a year.

For shops that just do not have room to run events and their regular customers, these tournament only sets are tough. Fear Itself and War of Light have had the original agreements revised and left over stock can be sold. WOL seems to have been available for re-order, not sure that was the case for FI.

IMO, I still think online purchases (hcrealms, the bay, etc) are the way to go if you want them now. For on line stores that sell miniatures, stuff, toads, zones etc, the new agreement of WOL means they are now carrying them.
