HAHAHAHA!!!
That's a good one buddy! It's a very big and techy combo, but all the same that doesn't make it bad! You really do have a creative mind, I'm just wondering where you get all that time to think stuff like this up...
Well, thank you (and to the rest of you for the compliment). I don't know where they come from. I just happen to have DNA Surgery in my mind since it is currently helping my Goblin Kings and I pulled a Diffusion Wave-Motion a while ago and was really jazzed since it was a secret rare. Then seeing how limited it seems to be and how little I could actually sell it for at a local comic shop, I've been on a small quest to make it viable....plus its fun and fiendish to come up with the crazy combos 8^D Still no word from the Judge's List, so I'll probably post around here today for the answer...

In my current Eyes of Despair Deck, I'm actually running 6... Dark Necrofear 1 or 2 (depending on which Eye I'm using), Ha Des, Summoned Skull 1 or 2(depending on which Eye I'm using), Mefist, and Helpoemer.
To some extent, I don't consider Necrofear a "tribute" because of the fact that you're removing monsters from the graveyard from play, which for the most part, I consider spent since I don't have any monster revival cards currently except for Puppet Magic of Dark Ruler, so Necrofear gives my monsters dual purpose since they can become Necrofood.
I help offset this with Ultimate Offering and 3 Summoned Skull #2s. This helps the tributes swarm as well as keep field presence when tribute summoned. I'm in the process of hunting down a Cost Down to replace one of the UOs in an effort to slim the deck a bit.

I know there are different like Archfiend, Necrofear, Fiand/Beatdown, etc. But what is the best way to go and how do I know what cards to put in there. Anyway, I will post a Fiend deck that is not completed. Thanks and any help is appreciated.
The most beautiful thing about fiends is their efficiency and versatility. They can compliment and morph themselves into virtually any deck theme possible. I currently have a swarm/beat down and RFP style fiend deck going. Archfiends do great for beatdown/control. DarkMagicUser is notorious for running a seriously mean Metamorphosis Fiend Deck. Squid runs some awe inspiring power within his fiends that I have a hard time describing the style, they just all click together beautifully. The list goes on and on.
I would say the better approach is see what type of dueling style you want to play as and build your deck around that. It'll take a little time to go through the fiends and build some cohesiveness with them to match that theme, but it can be done and you'll be all the wiser for it. I'll give away one small nugget of advice, fiends seem to do best when under some form of chaos or activity. Stalling seems to be one thing that fiends don't like. Make sure to keep something in your back pocket to prevent or feed off of this case, but remember first and foremost to build YOUR deck and the fiends will appreciate it and bond in ways you never thought possible.
if DWM works like Asura, as i believe it does, then it wont' work
because Dillie-O's whole thing is to keep attacking the monster that Beast of Gilfer equips too as that will be the weakest monster at the moment
but if it's an Asura-like effect then yu wouldn't be able to decide the order of the attack as each monster on your opponents side of the field will be attacked at the same time, thus only allowing Beast of Gilfer to be equipped to only 1 monster during the transition of the entire attack.
appears this post was skipped concerning D-0's DWM combo
either way, chance opponent will have monsters stronger then the special summoned Mazera is pretty low, still the combo is interresting
Seeing as I have never used a Diffusion Wave Motion before, Im lost on the technical aspects of it. But, the skeptic in me tends to agree with you, Nitestar. I dont want to downplay the ingenuity of Dillie-O's convoluted thinking, but I dont think it will work, just basing it of the same process you described.
Thanks for the compliment on my deck, Dillie-O. Especially seeing as it just recently got stomped pretty badly by a friend's new Trample deck (they really got me by surprise) Winged Minion wasnt working at all, when I swapped out GKings. Ive actually pressed save on that deck for now and dismantled it in favor of trying another go-around with Theban Nightmare in a hybrid type deck. We shall see how it goes.
If that doesnt work, Im thinking of trying 3 Jowls and Necrofears and stuff (too bad Brain Jacker isnt out yet) for a fun idea thats kind of "Red Rover, Red Rover, send your monster over". (sometimes...I really need to get a psych exam^_^)
Well, I bugged enough people and got enough mechanics to confir that the Gilfer/DWM combo does indeed play out legally. Now all I have to do is add a few Goblin Kings for DNA Surgery viability, put in a Big Bang Shot or Fairy Meteor Crush to make Mazera's effect do difinitive damage and Woo Hoo! We're on our way! 8^D
*sigh* there must be something wrong with my fiend deck. I seem to win more tournies with Vampire lord in my deck then Mefist
-_- Ive tried everything. Ill try again this week
anyway,,,,,
How does Ultimate offering work?
Can i use it on my opponents turn???

there is no reason to think you are doing something wrong. If your knew the late, great ThaHza* then you might recall that he used to run a VLord also in his Fiend Deck.
*(if you didnt know him, he was the jelly to Waldo's peanut butter...the man could have exhausted all the information on fiends in 5 pages what it has taken us 70+ to do. *sigh* I miss ThaHza..THAT was a Fiendish Duelist. some of the earliest posts by Waldo that detail the basic Fiends looks suspiciously reminiscent of ThaHza's style of writing in his "Fiends: Parts 1-4;) *Waldo wont mind me saying that. He loved him more than any of us)
Now Im all nostalgic.....
There is a lot of evidence to support running out-of-type monsters in any kind of deck. Desolutionist is one that is a big advocate of diversity in your decks, too.
The fact is that, what works in theory may not hold up in practice
(me, for instance:p). So, if Mesfit isnt cutting it, but VLord is, I dont see a reason why you shouldnt run it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~hello!~~~~~~~~
As for Ultimate Offering: As a trap, it is Spell Speed 2. Therefore, it can be activated during your opponent's turn. This includes the Battle Phase, as long as it is not in the Damage Step. It will cause a replay, even if the number of monsters stays the same on your side of the field.
Ex: OP selects your Dark ruler as the subject of attack, you either activate UO and pay the cost, or simply trigger an already face up UO by paying the cost; Tribute your dark Ruler for Great Maju Garzette. A replay occurs because the specific monster that was the battle target (Dark Ruler) no longer exists on the field. Even though you still only have 1 monster.
Obviously, if you used UO and the # of monsters on your side of the field increased after the declaration of battle, that a replay would also occur.
If Im not mistaken you can also chain it to a ss1 or 2 effect in any phase, from Draw to End and get a monster on the field.
EDIT: Nevermind. I missed Nitestar's post, which answered that.
the only thing Im fuzzy on (always forget) is whether or not UO "blankets the field", meaning that it can be used by your opponent, like Royal Oppression.
~squid~
PS: Dillie-O. my apologies for doubting you and your ability to use DWM in combo. That is very ingenious!
i to have used mefist and vlord and vlord is by far more valueable because of its ability to come back. plus with its ability to take out a monster magic or trap. even if vlord isnt a fiend. he should be.
HAHAHAHA ByserSquid, no need to apologize. I come up with enough crackpot, psychoweird combos that I'm typically surprised if they work. The scary thing is, I now want to try and build an Archfiend deck to thow those monsers in and see how it would work. The combo could be potentially more nasty with a Robbin Goblin' on the field. 8^D
As for VLord vs. Mefist, I would agree that sometimes the fiends need to corrupt a few good monsters to make their fiendish activities go to their limits. For example, I run a Cyber Jar and Tsuyukomi in my fiend deck for some added fiendishness.
Ultimate Offering is really nice. 500 used to seem really steep, but nowadays that seems pretty cheap and that extra replay or monster presence can make all the difference in the world. I'm not sure if I'd run it in every deck I create, but I'm thinking 1 just might linger around is a lot of decks I work with.
after looking recently at past posts i have fixed my deck abit. i would greatly appreciate if you guys would look and comment on it and fix some things. i will also look at your. thanks
Hey all! I was stumbling through the judges list really quick and I found a little tidbit that helps us out immensely:
The "dice-roll" effect several of the Dark Crisis Archfiends have does not
use the chain, thus it cannot be countered with "Divine Wrath."
The maintenence cost to keep the Archfiends in play does not use the chain.
"Divine Wrath" cannot be used against this effect either.
<drool/> This makes me want to piece together an Archfiend deck even more...get a few Gilfers, Diffusion Wave-Motion, dice rolling to protect itself, ahh these guys are FIENDISH!
