Generics often give me a problem, or at least generics I want. I've managed to trade for plenty of them by now, but initially GSX Multiple Man was a pain for me. In a brick and 2 booster drafts of the set I'd pulled 3-4 of most every common but only ONE of him.
Older LEs like Wade Wilson. The problem isn't really finding them, but often when I find one shipping is as high as the piece itself. There's a seller on the S&A Forum with a Wade for $3, but the minimum shipping is $4; can't remember if he had a minimum order or now... It would be worth it if he had more pieces I wanted. It's still a very fair price, just not what I want to do right now.
I odn't think I have ever heard of "Euro-promos". What's their story?
The 3 I have were part of a German promotion with Marvel/Deutschland/Panini comics. Each comic was marked:
"Mit Gratis-Extra: Heroclix-Figuren!".
UI002 Wolverine w/a blue ring (Inc. in a Wolverine comic.)
UI004 Hobgoblin w/a blue ring (Inc. in a Spiderman comic.)
UI005 Sabertooth w/a blue ring (Inc. in an X-Men comic.)
That tells me there was a Spiderman and a Wasp promo as well, since they were UI001 and UI003 respectively.
They were also (the 3 I have anyway.) marked "Promo" on the base like J.D., J.A., Spidey, and Bats. The dials and point cost, were, iirc, the same as their exp. counterparts from Universe.
I hope this helps.
I really want to find these. If anyone has any ideas, Let me know.
I'd rather have these oddballs to complete the set than pretty much any chases that I don't already have.

We're overdue for Wizkids to make Joe on the Lawmaster and other 2000AD characters.

The Indy Dark Judges -- actually, the whole European clix set. I'd buy a case if I could find it, just for completion's sake.
Other than that, HoT Ultron and Doppleganger.
And Horrorclix, but that's understandable. Game's been dead for a while and unopened stuff is hard to find for me.
I absolutely LOVE the British Indys! Being a big fan of 2000AD I made it a point to get them a long time ago. They are among the most prized pieces in my collection.
But, as I highlighted in your above quote, you mentioned "for completion's sake."
I surely hope that's not the only reason you get them. For goodness sake try to play them, too! At first glance the dials look miserable, but trust me, in the right scenario they're FUN!
As many people on the realms know, my 2000AD pieces NEVER collect dust! I play them frequently in friendly games and I break them out in tournaments on occasion. 2000AD is to me what Alpha flight is to SLVRSR4!
Half the fun of playing these figs is the look you get from your opponent when you first put them on the map. And again when their bricks are removed from said map.
That SR Ultron you're looking for was taken down by Judge Anderson, Judge Hershey, and a couple of Brit City judges in one game.
Really, they're a hoot to play.
In any event, good luck to you in you're search. I'm sure you'll do well. Hell, I still come across the occasional Brit piece in somebody's singles bin. (I found one of my Johnny Alpha promos in a quarter bin at Wizard World a few years ago!)
As with any piece listed in this thread, a major portion of the fun is the hunt!

my friend had the worst time with Magneto. He bought like 2 cases (if not 5 total bricks) of GSX and pulled at least 2 of every other SR (plus doubles of certain "chase" duos), and ZERO of Magneto (the only piece he really wanted and the main reason for more bricks; plus accumulating more Mindless Ones).
Now, with Magneto being a SR and not a chase, does that make sense? Considering that theoretically he's just as rare as any of the other chases, and he pulled THREE Archangels and at least 2 of all the others (pretty sure)? It was severely unfair. Add that to the one brick I bought of the set and that's 3 cases without a single Magneto. I managed to trade for one of my own relatively easily but I've never seen one come from a pack. My friend eventually had to cave for $60 to get one online.

This is exactly the kind of stuff that lends to the "do I really want to keep doing this?" mentality.
I can understand rarity - it is a collectible game - but for the love of God, how much is enough for these folks? I usually buy a full case of product each set - sometimes 2 or even 3 if the money is there - and I STILL never wind up with a full set. I am not even talking the prizes or Chases here, JUST the actual set. I hate to use the term - but that is completely unfair. And just plain ridiculous. As is the situation with Magneto in your case.
HoT #16 Thor. Now I can always go to ebay or whatnot and buy one, but it seems that locally this figure is all but nonexistant and near impossible to get in trade.
I have managed to get a few - if you still need one let me know, and maybe we can horse-trade. (No, I don't want your horse.)
I have almost the complete collection but some pieces are really like:
1. Hall Jordan LE Unleashed set. Six years to get it.
2. The first Martianmanhunter.
3. Paramedic LE I don't remember the name rigth now.
4. Batman Vampire 5. Generaly speaking LEs from the past format game. (Ultimates, Crtitcal mass, etc)
Depends what you are after, but I do have quite a few of the older LE's. Shoot me a list.
I'm pretty much down to needing the three Horsemen of Apocalypse, The Captain and Capwolf... but I'm patient and unwilling to blow stupid amounts of money for them. I learned my lesson with some other chases that it pays off to trade and/or luck out with online deals rather than making snap decisions out of desperation ($30 Zombie Hulk and $7 Blastaar of Baluur spring to mind).
I'm actually looking for set posters from Giant-Size X-Men, Captain America and Superman. They're so infrequently seen they're almost urban legends. In fact, I've never seen them with my own eyes.

Did not even know there were set posters for them, other then the online WK site promo kind of thing. Figured they stopped making them.

Something opposite happened to me with the vet surfer from supernova I pulled it in a brick and I treasured it. Then some weird looking guys come in at my venue during a tourney. I got home to realize it had been stolen and I knew who it was because other people in that store know each other very well and we trust each other.. Man I was bummed. The next week at another store I bought one pack of supernova and I pulled it! Too bad I never saw those guys again.

I'd heard that the GSX poster was available only through a special retailers-only copy of Game Trade magazine. Physical posters for Captain America and Superman are just speculation at this point.
There was an older DC set that only had a .PDF of their poster (Justice League?) so I can sleep well knowing there isn't a physical poster to hunt down.
