With that octopus tentacle being sort of black, I wonder if it's supposed to be an "undead" octopus.

I believe it was originally announced for October, with the DC 75th Anniversary set being in November.

After carefully looking over these figures, I'm a fan. I think that some of those sculpts will look amazing in hand.

I agree totally, It's a little hard to see, but judging by the Martian Manhunter sculpts relation to the story, I'd say for sure it's going to be a rotting dead tentacle.

Actually, now I think there needs to be a "New Avengers" keyword because of the 'eras' of that particular team. And, they need a "Dark Avengers" keyword, too.

Action poses have never been essential for me. Most of these sculpts look like some thought went into them, though Osiris could have used some lightning bolts striking his base. Plus, to a degree, the BN packaging showed they can't get too fancy on the poses or else we'll have another Mera situation.

Actually Aliveman's the only White Latern at the mo, so he'd likely be the only one to get that keyword.

I wouldn't say no to all of them having a "Brightest Day" keyword, but since there was no "Deputy Lanterns" keeyword in the Blackest Night set, I'm not betting on it.

If it's a DC call, it's one that was made either with little follow-up/oversight given all the JL errors, or made with the same sloppy oversight that gave us the mystery team known as the "Violet Lantern Corps."

Especially since the Brightest Day characters aren't teaming up to do anything but instead have all gone their separate ways... which is in direct contrast to the Blackest Night starter set characters who were all teaming up against the common enemy and therefore (one might think) *should* make for a thematic team, but don't.

Emphasis mine. I think that the Blackest Night starter figs make a great thematic team, but not a theme team (as defined by the rules of the game).

Truthfully, the Deputies barely cooperated: Luthor swiftly turned on everyone; Mera went all beserker rage on the Black Lanterns; no one could understand a word that the Atom said; Scarecrow was his own freaky self; etc...

I can understand why they Deputies do not share a keyword, but I do wish they each had another (with the possible exception of Diana) so that they could be used in theme teams.

I expect that WK will give us more Lantern Corps figures, but it would be nice to theme play them now as opposed to later.

With all the DC Heroclix products(alot!)that came out and coming out this year,I hope Marvel Heroclix also comes out with at least 1 action pack aside from the WOSM set this august. Maybe next year,DC Heroclix could come up with a WILDCATS(classic version)action pack since I believe they(DC)owns that license. Wizkids/NECA hope you're reading this!
