Last movie I was was also Drive. Saw it with a friend, who treated me to it because it was my birthday. Afterwards, I turned to him and said "Well, it wasn't as bad as The Mechanic."
It wasn't a great movie. But it was ok, and kept me entertained. Lackluster ending, but whatever.
It was good enough. If you follow the logic, you can see who the killer is. But really, this was the last one. For numerous reasons that if I were to explain it, it'd spoil the survivors and ending.
It should be the last. I guess ultimately it's the weakest of the bunch. But that should be expected given this is the fourth go.
End it here and be grateful for such a good franchise.
I watched "Mirage" starring Gregory Peck last night. It's a pretty good movie about a man who suddenly realizes he doesn't remember anything about himself from more than 2 years ago (sort of), and there are all these unfamiliar people who know him expecting him to do something, which he doesn't know about. There are certain things that don't line up after we learn the truth, but it's a thrilling movie overall.
Original. The remake is fun as well, but definitely not as gripping as the original.
cool. I like zombie stuff as much as the next guy but I'm really started to get zombied out lately. Now is the season for such things so I expect it. But for about the last few years it's been all about zombies. Kinda like vampires were all the rage before that. Hell, they even had a episode of Deadliest Warrior recently that had Zombies vs Vampires.
Shaun of the Dead still makes me laugh though. I think I need time away to appreciate 'em again. And that's sad considering the new season of The Walking Dead is starting soon.
The Thing (Prequel)
Gotta admit this is a pretty damn good movie and IT'S SCARY AS HELL this might be the scariest movie I've seen since original Alien (I know that's a bold statement).
I went in expecting to hate it, but it was pretty decent.
They did a good job of tying it in with John Carpenter's film.
I didn't care for how they glossed over the paranoia of the first one in favor of flashy action sequences.

Watchmen. I have never read the comics before, but it was still an a great movie overrall, though there were some questionable moments. An 8/10.

The same society that tells people to grow up is the same society that is terrified of words.
I watched "Predators" over the weekend. While it was an okay movie, I sure am glad that I didn't pay to watch it in the threater. I was not sold on Eric Foreman (Topher Grace) as being the type of character who we found out he was. Other than that, the allusion to the original Predator film was a nice touch and I was entertained. I definitely could not buy it for my movie collection, but I would recommend it to anyone who liked the original Schwarzenegger flick. (Let's just pretend that Predator 2 never happened, 'kay?)

No Danny Glover love? I rather thought Predator 2 was fairly decent.....why the dislike?
