Change the Flurry to Charge and the special to Kal-L's power
FENDING OFF TWO SUPERMEN : Kal-L can use Flurry. For each character successfully hit while using Flurry, after the close combat action is resolved Kal-L can use Force Blast as free action targeting that character.
It doesn't say (non-optional) next to the power. If powers are non-optional to use it normally says this. No reason you couldn't choose to disregard it.
Actually that is incorrect. It's the opposite. Unless a power says 'may', then the power is non-optional.
X BLADES/CLAWS/FANGS When this character is given a close combat action, you may roll a d6 after making a successful attack roll. The result replaces this character’s damage value, then that damage value is locked.
FLURRY Give this character a close combat action. After the close combat attack resolves, it may make a second close combat attack as a free action. If this character loses Flurry before it makes the second attack, it can’t make the second attack.
SUPER STRENGTH When this character moves due to its own action, it may pick up an object and hold it.
WILLPOWER This character may ignore pushing damage.
As opposed to:
IMPERVIOUS When this character is dealt damage, roll a d6. On a result of 5 or 6, the damage dealt is reduced to 0. On a result of 1–4, the damage dealt is reduced by 2.
INVULNERABILITY Damage dealt to this character is reduced by 2.
Anyway, I'm not seeing why all the hate for this figure? He's not the uber Hulk that some were expecting (and frankly at this point I've given up hope that we'll see that in this set now), but he's by no means bad. That Flurry combined with the SP simply means you'll have to base more than 1 character to get the most out of it.
Overall he's decent, but I won't go out of my way to get one. Yay, save me some money

I guess when you plan to flurry, you better have 2 opponents next to you ... or Flurry against characters who don't take knockback.
My immediate thought was that the combination is worthless, but it really isn't. Just don't plan to attack a single character twice who takes knockback.
This will be the first set EVER that I am not buying a brick of. I will just buy pieces The Hulk is my favorite Marvel character and I was super stoked about this set. But alas, almost every single piece previewed has been a disappointment to me. My main want from this set was the 300+ point beast that can single handedly take on most of the Marvel universe by himself. There hasn't been a piece that was even remotely close to that
Don’t care about what other people think of you. There will always be those people who want to see you fail because they can’t succeed.
Looks like we found the dud in the GF Set! Too bad it's Hulk.
Very disappointing figure, particularly with the layout of the powers on the dial.
CarlosMucha: that is like be running in a Olimpic race competition just one step to get the gold and then a Giant children place a mirror in your side and you discover what you are really a hamster over a whell and the gold is just a slice of chess. Avatar Summoning: Original GotG, Melter, Whiplash

Well if the target is adjacent to a wall you can gain some bang for your buck.
Hit for 4, knockback into the wall for 1. Hit for 4 again, knockback into the wall for another 1.
10 damage - if you are a half-full kinda guy...
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
Also, while he's not the best close combat figure ever designed, he's still a decent figure for the points. Just use the Flurry power on Nightcrawler, you just get two chances to hit those high defenses. Or as others mentioned be adjacent to two characters. Or a character adjacent to a wall. Sure it limits you a bit, but it's not as limited as people want us to believe.

Or off of elevated terrain, out of of hindering terrain, or away from another figure on your force.......................I can think of lots of practical applications of this power. Plus, if you miss the first attack, you still get a second shot at it..........

Didn't read the whole thread, willing to bet half of it was people complaining that he's not a 300-point instant win button and the other half just kidding there is no other half.
That said, he's not anything terribly special and I can sort of see the disappointment. I like the fact that ranged attacks make him angrier. That's a pretty clever little power, as it sort of discourages people sitting back and taking potshots at him.
I wonder if people would be OK with a Hulk that had a natural 5 damage but maybe like a 9 attack. Hulk hits hard, but he's not a sharpshooter or a martial arts expert. He's a swing hard, smash things kind of guy, and theoretically would be easy to dodge if you had spider-senses or something like that.
You should listen to Geekspeak. It might change your life or something.
Also, I write about Heroclix for Lost Hemisphere as HostBryan.

No need for an "instant win button." A version of the character over 200 points and not named "Green Scar" would do me just fine.

I think Hulk should top out at an 11 on his "angriest" click. He's not known for missing often when angry.
Longest-Reigning Drunken HeroClix Champion - anyone got a liver?
Now that I've thought about it a bit, that sp it could actually be useful against similar bruisers with Charge. Since they'll ignore the knockback on the first hit, the second flurry could then cause the knockback (assuming the target doesn't have it anymore after taking the first hit.
The question here is, would Charge's "ignore knockback" (which is always checked first before the attack is even made) apply since Hulk's sp states "all damage dealt causes knockback"?
