15. Green Lantern Corps (41,778)
16. Green Lantern New Guardians (41,479)
17. Batwoman (38,064)
18. Swamp Thing (36,696)
19. Red Lanterns (35,070)
Swamp Thing actually overtakes Red Lanterns, as Swamp Thing manages a minimal increase in sales!
20. Animal Man (34,549)
21. Red Hood And The Outlaws (34,439)
22. Catwoman 12 (34,117)
Animal Man makes a significant increase in sales, jumping past both Red Hood and Catwoman.
23. Justice League Dark (30,754)
24. Supergirl (30,420)
25. Suicide Squad (28,302)
Justice League Dark technically surpasses Supergirl this month, but it's a minimal increase. The books had similar sales last month and similar sales this month.
Update with September numbers. Keep in mind this was "Zero Month," so sales may be a little off from the norm.
1. Batman 156,561
2. Justice League 125,868
3. Green Lantern 89,909
4. Detective Comics 84,063
5. Action Comics 78,626
6. Batman The Dark Knight 72,919
7. Batman And Robin 69,146
Same rankings once again. And all these books got sales spikes from their zero issues.
Aquaman is the first book not to get a sales bump from a zero issue. Superman and Flash got sales bumps, so Aquaman is the only book in the top 25 not to get a sales bump. The rankings of these books are still in the same order, though.
All three of these books got sales bumps from their zero issue. Batgirl's bump was bigger than Wonder Woman's, as Batgirl's sales surpass Wonder Woman's this month.
14. Teen Titans 47,318
15. Green Lantern Corps 47,309
16. Green Lantern New Guardians 46,718
17. Batwoman 41,684
18. Swamp Thing 40,123
These books kept the same rankings while all getting sales bumps from their zero issues.
19. Red Hood And The Outlaws 39,511
20. Catwoman 39,117
21. Red Lanterns 38,928
22. Animal Man 38,295
Even though Red Lanterns did get a sales bump, it still continues to plummet down the rankings, being overtaken by Red Hood and Catwoman. Or maybe it's just a sign of improvement from Red Hood and Catwoman who also overtake Animal Man this month.
24. Supergirl 34,457
23. Justice League Dark 34,287
25. Suicide Squad 31,875
Supergirl overtakes Justice League Dark this month. Otherwise, it's the same old story of increased sales from the zero issues.
Update with August numbers for the bottom half of the new 52. This time, I'm going to switch how I've been doing things, putting the books in best-selling to worst-selling order (it's easier this way). And I'll have the numbering count down from 26, to make this a continuation of the best-selling list.
26. Justice League International (28,261) -- cancelled
27. Superboy (27,518)
28. Birds of Prey (26,587)
29. Green Arrow (23,126)
30. All Star Western (22,767)
All of the above books have declining sales, but they haven't yet gone below the 20k cutoff point.
31. Legion of Super Heroes (18,907)
32. Stormwatch (18,531)
33. Batwing (18,279)
34. Demon Knights (17,295)
35. Deathstroke (16,772)
36. Legion Lost (16,066)
These books are still below 20k sales. Of these, the Legion has moved up two places, meaning its sales have decreased significantly less than Stormwatch and Batwing's have. Batwing has actually fallen two places on the list, on this, it's first month selling below 20k; it seems to be crashing fast.
37. DC Universe Presents (15,138)
38. I Vampire (14,788)
39. Savage Hawkman (14,745)
40. Frankenstein Agent of Shade (14,679)
41. Fury of Firestorm The Nuclear Men (14,137)
42. Resurrection Man (13,741) -- cancelled
43. Blue Beetle (13,325)
44. Grifter (12,400)
45. Voodoo (11,328) -- cancelled
46. Captain Atom (10,445) -- cancelled
Of these, the truly hopeless books, DC Universe Presents actually increased sales (jumping an unheard of six spots!), but sales fluctuations are to be expected with a book that switches lead features. I, Vampire is starting to decline like the other books in the range, rather than holding steady as it had been doing.
Savage Hawkman, while still losing sales, actually started selling better than Frankenstein this month. (Did Liefeld actually help slow Hawkman's decline? Inconceivable!)
Updated with September sales numbers:
26. Superboy 31,840
27. Birds of Prey 30,574
28. Green Arrow 28,408
29. All Star Western 25,388
All of these books have increased sales this month. It may look like they've moved up the rankings but that's only because JLI is now gone.
30. Batwing 22,135
31. Stormwatch 21,764
32. Legion of Super Heroes 21,561
Even though these books have increased sales, bumping them over the 20k cancellation line, the order has changed a bit, with Batwing passing LSH and Stormwatch, while Stormwatch passes LSH which is unfortunately sinking in the rankings.
While these three books had previously been below the 20k cancellation line, two of them manage to make it above that line with Deathstroke passing Demon Knights this month. Is that the Liefeld bump increasing sales on Deathstroke? Inconceivable!
36. Savage Hawkman 18,750
37. Frankenstein Agent of Shade 18,122 --cancelled
38. I Vampire 17,920
39. DC Universe Presents 17,528
As we delve into the books with truly hopeless sales, we see some unusual things. While, again, all these books have increased sales this month, the rankings have changed in odd ways. The Savage Hawkman has passed DCUP and I,Vampire... could this be even more evidence of Liefeld actually increasing (relative) sales? Inconceivable!
Frankenstein, oddly enough, follows Hawkman in passing those two books (DCUP and I,Vampire)... which is good enough to get Frankestein cancelled? Huh.
And DCUP's sales fall below I,Vampire this month.
41. Fury of Firestorm The Nuclear Men 17,279
42. Blue Beetle 16,888 -- cancelled
43. Resurrection Man 16,672 -- cancelled
44. Grifter 15,751 -- cancelled
45. Voodoo 14,223 -- cancelled
46. Captain Atom 13,934 -- cancelled
And in the category of doomed books, sales still increased, though none of them are saved from cancellation, with the exception of Firestorm who somehow continues to survive.
The only change here is that Resurection Man (previously cancelled) falls below Blue Beetle, which has only recently been cancelled.
And with all these cancellations, only 39 books will soon remain of the original new 52.
A few pages back, folks were asking about the Before Watchmen stuff. I've been reading them, picking up all issues to date. They're enjoyable, at least to me.
Legion Lost is getting canned? Well, one less title I'll buy. Just put them back in the future, please.
I'm sure that's what will end up happening. In the New 52, they seem to have been very careful about finding places for characters to land once their titles get cancelled.
Blue Beetle, for example, will be in Threshhold, Grifter in Team 7, and Frankenstein likely to keep a presence in Justice League Dark.
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.

I am very much looking forward to Threshhold. Keith Giffen writing cosmic superhero stories is pure gold.

If it's anything like the latest GL: New Guardians annual, then I'm not impressed.
But anyway, it's been long enough. Time for November sales numbers (yeah, yeah, it's almost time for December sales numbers).
Here's the sales on the original new 52 books:
1. Batman 159,729
2. Justice League 113,094
These are the only two DC books still in the top ten comics this month. Marvel is reclaiming the top of the sales charts. Batman's sales are up, Justice League's sales are down.
3. Green Lantern 78,499
4. Batgirl 77,468
5. Batman And Robin 75,543
6. Detective Comics 74,560
7. Action Comics 64,341
8. Suicide Squad 63,691
9. Catwoman 63,653
10. Batman The Dark Knight 62,792
Batgirl has zipped up from #12 to #3 (of the new 52), no doubt because of the current crossover. Some of the bat-titles are switching positions, but their sales are all about the same (no doubt because of the current crossover). Catwoman has jumped from #20 to #9 (of the new 52). Suicide Squad has also made dramatic increases, going from #25 to #8 on this list. Catwoman and Suicide Squad have approximately doubled in sales. (Was Suicide Squad part of the crossover too?)
Of course, the other Bat-books here (and Action Comics) have decreased in sales, as monthly books usually do.
Aquaman and Superman are being pushed down the list by the up-surges in the other books. And they've lost about one sixth of their sales from the previous month, which is pretty drastic.
13. Nightwing 50,720
14. Green Lantern Corps 49,594
Nightwing is relatively stable (thanks to the crossover, right?). Green Lantern Corps has an improvement in sales and in chart position. (Does the new Third Army story have anything to do with this?)
15. Flash 48,012
16. Green Lantern New Guardians 47,062
Flash has fallen quite a bit, while Green Lantern New Guardians has a small improvement (more of the Third Army effect?).
17. Wonder Woman 14 $2.99 DC 42,384
18. Swamp Thing 14 $2.99 DC 42,036
19. Red Lanterns 14 $2.99 DC 40,779
20. Teen Titans 14 $2.99 DC 39,745
Wonder Woman and Teen Titans get a significant drop in sales and chart position. Swamp Thing gets an improvement in sales, but an unchanged chart position. Red Lanterns gets a slight improvement in sales and chart position (more Third Army effect?).
21. Red Hood And The Outlaws 37,710
22. Batwoman 36,395
23. Animal Man 33,503
24. Supergirl 31,270
25. Justice League Dark 28,966
26. Superboy 28,017
Red Hood, Batwoman, Justice League Dark, and Animal Man are slipping in sales and chart position. Supergirl's and Superboy's sales are decreasing but are stable in their chart position.
Same chart position but it's lost 20% of its previous month's sales. That's not good.
28. Green Arrow 21,825
29. All Star Western 20,186
These are the last books before we get to the "failing" books of below 20k sales. Green Arrow is stable in its chart position but has lost 25% of its sales from the previous month. That's disastrous. All Star Western is similar, having lost 20% of its sales from the previous month.
30. Legion of Super Heroes 17,767
31. Stormwatch 16,559
32. Frankenstein Agent of Shade 16,444 -- cancelled
Legion has climbed two places on this list, but is still losing lots of sales. The same for Frankenstein. And Stormwatch is stable in its chart position, but also losing lots of sales.
33. Demon Knights 16,005
34. Batwing 15,967
Again, more of the same. Terrible sales, decreasing dramatically, though Demon Knights stays in its chart position.
35. Legion Lost 14,766 --cancelled
36. Savage Hawkman 14,726
Same chart positions as last month, but sales decreasing dramatically.
37. Deathstroke 14,452
38. I Vampire 13,666
39. Dc Universe Presents 13,537
These books all have significant losses this month, with Deathstroke slipping down the charts. I Vampire finally loses the relatively stable sales that it had enjoyed for a while.
40. Fury of Firestorm The Nuclear Men 12,862
41. Blue Beetle 12,508 -- cancelled
42. Grifter 11,631 -- cancelled
Terrible, terrible sales, having lost about a third of their previous month's sales.
What about the rest? What about Resurrection Man, Voodoo, and Captain Atom? They're already gone I believe as I have no data for their November sales.
What about the other DC comics? What about before Watchmen and all the new52 replacements? Eh, here's an unsorted unedited list of the other DC books (down to 8k in sales):
30 Before Watchmen Moloch 1* $3.99 DC 59,288

198 Unwritten 43 $2.99 DC 8,791
199 Lot 13 2 $2.99 DC 8,767
207 Superman Family Adventures 7 $2.99 DC 8,074
31. Stormwatch 16,559
32. Frankenstein Agent of Shade 16,444 -- cancelled
33. Demon Knights 16,005
34. Batwing 15,967
35. Legion Lost 14,766 --cancelled
36. Savage Hawkman 14,726
37. Deathstroke 14,452
38. I Vampire 13,666
39. Dc Universe Presents 13,537
40. Fury of Firestorm The Nuclear Men 12,862
41. Blue Beetle 12,508 -- cancelled
42. Grifter 11,631 -- cancelled
Well, we can add two more cancelled books: I, Vampire and DC Universe Presents have just been cancelled. Two more of the original new 52 are gone. So, by my count, that takes us down to only 36 of the new left.
Stormwatch, however, merely gets a new writer: Jim Starlin.
Well, I took a look through the estimated December sales, and it's easy to see which titles from the first nu52 wave should be in line for getting the axe.
Green Arrow- 20,672
All Star Western- 19,190
Legion of Superheroes- 16,912
Stormwatch- 15,437
Demon Knights- 15,152
Batwing- 14,674
Savage Hawkman- 13,564
Deathstroke- 13,528
Fury of Firestorm- 11,997
These are the titles to watch (along with some from the later waves of nu52 titles). I'm surprised Firestorm is still going, and I feel like Deathstroke and Hawkman are doomed since Liefeld touched them.
