I'm mostly OK with it, but the tiny Hulk model really does peave me off a bit.
What does annoy me is the straw man arguments used to discount the posts of those of us who don't have a problem with it. We are fanboys inasmuch as we spend ridiculous amounts of money on the game. However implying that we are somehow blind to WK flaws ignores the issue that most of us have criticized Wk at some point that did bother us, i.e.: Hulk sculpt is too small, Hulk is not powerful enough, Cosmic Spiderman and bencrawler are poorly thought out characters, etc. etc.
Furthermore comparing someone who is not critical of a certain aspect of the game to mass murderous and suicidal cult members (As VGA did on page two and for which no one has called him out) is beyond offensive. It's actually so offensive it's ridiculous. However it should be pointed out exactly how ridiculous it is and it needs to be expressed that this is not acceptable behavior.
Iron River Read my wife's comic or I will say mean things about your dog.
I suckered these guys into playing: Feedback Damage

VGA may not have gotten called out for it but I'm pretty sure he got THROWN out for it.

the reason it wasn't brought up..im sure, is kuz no one listens to him and or have him blocked B^P though if you pick apart what he said he duz have a few good points. to bad you have to pick away most of what he said to find the good bits B^(
Can't really compare paper cards to plastic figurines, dude.
Especially when our plastic figurines COME WITH paper cards.
it was ment as a joke "dude" B^P jeesh but i am right. you didn't have any requirements in your post. though the cards in clix did go down in quality B^)
Also take of Fallen One.... that sculpt is being re-used for Human Torch.
Like I said earlier... these past few sets are the beginning of the end of WizKids.
I'm glad I only paid $90 each for my two bricks. I paid $12 for my GG Fast Forces Pack, and only paid $25 for my GG Gravity Feed set... and got 2 extras with it too.
And I didn't pay a dime of sales tax either. Take that WA State.
None of this affects WK negatively in any way whatsoever. All you're saying here is that you have probably NOT supported your venue (as this pricepoint is well below what any venue shy of an online retailer would sell them for) NOR have you supported your state's finances. WK makes their money from the distributor, and so long as the distributors are selling product then WK makes money. I fail to see how this relates in any way to your point.

He can't hear you, he's banned.
Clearing out all my D.C. H/W current. All haves for trade. Lots of generic figures.

wrong!!! they were not band if you kept that deck together!! and if you have to ban something due to it being to good isnt a quality issue at all.
I was referring to the War of Attrition event deck. The deck Wizards advertised as being able to pull straight out and compete in a tournament. The one that costs 24.99 that you can't use without altering because they banned two of the cards before releasing it.
Nevermind, I see what you're saying. Too bad our LCS didn't catch that article. We had three DQ's on that deck in one event.

Here's the thing about this issue: less unique sculpts is inherently a bad thing. You've got to argue pretty hard to say that you'd rather have a reused sculpt for your 2nd Nova Corps guy rather than a completely new sculpt for him. We'd all like to have 4 different Surfer sculpts rather than 1 used 4 times.
But you can't really look at it independent of the other issues. This question shouldn't be, "Do you like it when they re-use sculpts?", but instead, "Would you rather see more sculpt reuse or pay an extra $1 a booster?"
The game has been around 10 years, and in that time we've seen the cost to play rise. But it hasn't risen now for several sets. And if they can maintain the low buy-in cost that's allowing us to rapidly expand the player base, I can accept a new distribution policy that utilizes sculpts more than once.
And let's be honest, how important is it that your Nova Corps look different? You were gonna run 4 of the 50 pointer anyway, so you've already got identical sculpts on the board. I'd rather use the same sculpt 4 times for an army character than only get 1 of that army character and be forced to use a team of all the same dial. (Remember those old REV armies that were all the same dial, but with a stat bump from one to the next?!)
The bolded part is my focus, and to answer you already paying more for boosters. The single 6 figure brick is really a 6-figure booster that you are paying $18. So a 5 figure booster which cost $12 which comes to $2.40 per figure then the so-called 6 figure brick which comes to $3.00 per figures. So you are already paying more per figure. I am seeing more of these CTD being produce, I do not think they are going to slow them down any time soon.
Salu Digby as LeVIathan in clix!

I think the Magic comparison is fair. Productions costs of paper products versus plastic figurines is a little different, but they have kept prices the same. My point is that prices of a lot of things have skyrocketed in the last few years and HC has managed to keep retail prices the same. I play Warhammer 40k as well, and GW has annual price increases across large portions of their line.

I'm just going through this thread this morning so I didn't want to comment until I saw everything, but that Manson comment was way over the line. Everyone has the right to dislike things, and VGA did have the occasional coherent idea, but too often he went crazy hyperbolic on things.
However, take that 23 unique sculpt figs down to 20. The Iron Man, Wolverine, and Fallen One sculpts are all being re-used in Chaos War.
Where was Fallen One ever confirmed to be being reused in Chaos War? I've read that people think he is being reused for Human Torch, but I haven't seen any pictures of this ( only the other 3 F4 members and Spidey were on the side of the Chaos War booster).
